Put these in my MIM Jaguar. Worthy upgrade. I will provide an update in a month or so.

I got these and was very excited to replace my Jackson stock pickups. Took everything apart and I installed them. After plugging them in, I got no sound fron the bridge pickup. Thinking I did something wrong on the install, I took them to The Guitar Center and had their guitar tech check them. The tech stated I did a great job installing them, but the bridge pickup was faulty. I returned them for a replacement for the same pickups. Hopefully these will work this time. I'll update this after I install the replacements. As of 07/10/24, I did the return and got the replacement. I installed it and had the Guitar Center hook up the wires. Bamm! The replacements worked!! The sound of these vs my stock pickups are just amazing!! Clean and crisp distortion. Although it was a nightmare in the beginning, these are worth the wait. Added a Floyd Rose Original Tremlo and this guitar is now Fire!
Great product! Fast delivery.

Put em in a Kelly/Explorer project I’m working on. First off these are really high gain and really high output. Clean tones sound great, have a sort of pop to them and the distortion channel brings out the real sound. Overall they’re definitely worth the money, pretty easy to install save for that I had to drill out one of the holes to attach it to the mounting hardware.

I replaced some stock Duncan Designed humbuckers with these because for the high-gain stuff I wanted to play, the Duncan Designed just got too muddy. These give a higher output and really makes for fat distortion but with clarity and edge while still being smooth.I will say that on clean channels I had to lower the gain from my older settings because they get dirty easily. These are 4-wire so I was able to coil split them just like the stock DD pickups were, and they sound good that way, too.I plan on buying a couple more sets for some other guitars, but am waiting for the price to drop because they're just too much at this point in time, I had gotten them for significantly less.

These pick ups are not for jazz, they are not for country, they are for mayhem. Just mean sounding and with so much sustain compared to the stock. Made a 400$ guitar into now one of my faves to play in my collection.

I bought these as I've had my Epiphone Les Paul for over 20 years and the pickups were a little old, needed repotting as they were getting microphonic and overall just a little muddy sounding. Thought I'd go all in with some decent pickups and Seymour Duncans are amongst the best there are, certainly at this price range. They are definitely a little more scooped than the originals, but have more attack and clarity too. Probably wouldn't want to play jazz or blues with these, but for rock and metal, they are plenty aggressive. The instructions that came were very clear and it didn't take long to wire them in, maybe half-an-hour per pickup. It definitely helps to have some patience and to know how to solder as you'll need to tin and solder 10 leads in all. Watch some YouTube videos on soldering first!

I bought the pair to upgrade my Dean Hardtail. The difference in my cleans are amazing right away! Distortion required me to add a little more drive and verb to bring out the full tone compared to my previous pickups. The sound is much tighter now and my upgrade will make my guitar my new favorite. One thing to note is the wiring configuration was the opposite from my old pickups. I have coil taps and the existing wiring was done differently than the seymour duncan diagram I got from their support page for my configuration. I did a combination of both following the wiring diagram by matching the colors to their appropriate locations and keeping it similar to my exisiting pickup configuration and the results were perfect.

All this taken with a grain of salt. These are DISTORTION pickups. With that in mind, they are excellent imho. I find it funny that for my application, I had to go online and get wiring diagram from SD. Having done so I have and NECK, BRIDGE and no combo option so I either didnt have the right diagram or muffed it up. As odd as it sounds, l will leave it this way, and I now have a silent option on the switch. SOOOO much output and distortion, no reason to change it for now. VERY VERY HIGH output. If you want metal hard rock sounds, this will do it. If you want clean this might not be the way to go. Excellent pickups tho.
