About this item

  • Single-coil-sized P.A.F.-style Humbucking Pickup f Telecasters - Black

The Little 59 for Tele is like putting a well-balanced, full sized PAF into the bridge position of your Tele. This medium output, single coil sized pickup has a nice, even bass and treble response with a slightly scooped midrange that gives it that classic, full bodied humbucker sound. Great for everything from Country to Rock. The 4-conductor lead wire gives you access to parallel and split wiring options for added versatility. This pickup is a drop-in replacement for a Fender American Standard Telecaster sized pickup route.Pair with our Vintage Stack Tele – neck Hand made in Santa Barbara, CA, the Little 59 for Tele uses a ceramic bar magnet, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is wax potted for squeal free operation.

Pretty standard issue but I put it in the bridge of my Schecter PT Special with the P90 neck pickup and it really stepped up is game.

No complaints with this pick up I've had one in my partscaster for years and it has been great. I put together another tele with a babicz fch bridge and the pup does not fit. I stupidly forced it and I think I damaged the windings so just beware if you are thinking of going down that route.

This little pickup has a lot to offer. It fills the gaps that a standard single coil doesn't cover, making the sound more adaptable to a wider range of playing styles. The sound quality is significantly enhanced, offering a fuller, smoother tone. However, it is a quieter pickup, so you may need to adjust the tone and increase the volume to achieve the desired punch—a common trait of Humbuckers. The difference is especially noticeable between the bridge and neck pickups. Personally, I would prefer this humbucker in the neck position due to its quieter nature, as it would likely blend more seamlessly.

still retains the tele sound, but has the beefy humbucker backbone when it breaks up. very pleased

I’m blown away by how great this little thing sounds. My 2013 American Fender Deluxe has Noiseless N3 pickups in it. The neck pickup sounded fine, but hated the sound of the bridge. So bought this little ‘59 to try out and am amazed. I expected to completely lose the “Tele” sound, but somehow still has it - just with a bit more bite. It really sounds like Tele, Strat, and PAF pickups were thrown in a blender to make this little monster. I love it.

This is a great pickup. If you want a Tele to sound like a Les Paul or other humbucker guitar, this is the pickup for you. Just love it.

Such a good change in tone for getting away from the “Tele twang”

Well I didn’t install them so I can’t comment on that. But man oh man do they sound good. Crisp, meaty and oh sooooo rich. I found they took away some of the cheap twang that my tele originally had. Love this upgrade currently recording with it and absolutely no issues.

I installed this into a Tele-style guitar. I wanted more output and sustain in the bridge but with some of the Tele character intact. This achieved this goal. What I hadn't counted on was it being so much darker sounding, with much more bass and midrange than a single coil. Luckily my guitar has a bass cut so it cleans up well. If you don't have one of these or can't wire this Little 59 for coil splitting, you might find the same issue. That said it is a throatier, fuller sound and does push the amp a little harder, without going all the way like a Hot Rails does.

Great idea for a pickup - it meant I could get humbucker tones without having to start sawing up my guitar. It turned a humble Mexican Fender Telecaster from a good twanging machine to an out-and-out purveyor of rock fabulousness. I also installed a push-pull switch to allow coil tapping to get some "truer" single coil sounds out of it. Be aware they are not the exactly the same as a genuine single-coil pick-up, but it does add an extra bit of versatility. It was fairly easy to install and solder this all myself, but do go to a proper guitar tech if you not entirely confiedent about you DIY skills. Many thanks.

I dropped this thing in my Tele, and I have not been dissappointed. When you play it clean, you still get the Tele twang, but this pickup really shines when you play it hot. It can handle overdrive and gain for days without sounding like crap. It really screams for rock of any kind. I think this is the go-to upgrade for anyone looking to make their tele more versatile.
