The photo used to advertise suggests that the spring forces this upward and by pushing downward and sliding a cord through the opening a strong lock is formed. Not at all what was delivered.As delivered. These are uselessAfter taking these apart and modifying the construction I created a functional device that satisfied my needs. Unless you want to spend 20-30 minute modifying each toggle, don’t waste your money on these. I wound NOT recommend these.

I wrote a review earlier that wasn't very positive about this product due to my not understanding that one has to set these cord locks in order for them to work. After I learned that and set them they work great!My apologies for jumping the gun when rating this product.

I got the item and was waiting on other parts and finally was able to use them on April 2, 2022. When I opened the package, I discovered at 9 out of 10 items had nonworking springs. I will not be planning to buy from this seller ever again. 9 out of 10 items being worthless means that there is no quality control and they just push the product out.

I'm pleased with these. They seem to be pretty good quality, and durable. I just didn't get to use them yet, because I'm a dummy, and got the wrong size shock cord (3/16, instead of 1/8), and it doesn't fit. I will say that, just like with Grimlocs, the "Tan" is closer to OD Green, than actual tan. No biggie to me, as it still matches my "Sandstone" packs. Just thought I'd add that, in case you were dead set on tan. Other than that, they seem great. Oh, and don't freak out if they look like they don't have any spring action, at first. You have to squeeze them real hard to unlock them. I think I saw reviews where people said they didn't work at all, because they hadn't unlocked them yet. So, don't be that guy. LoL.

I purchased a package of 10 of these after looking at a variety of Cord Locks on Amazon. I figured I’d try getting a package of 10. I used them as cord keepers for some hooded sweatshirts, instead of trying to knot the cords, etc. and then still have the washer jerk them out of the hood. Anyway, I inserted the cord as the cord locks seemed “broken” but they’re not. (I knew better anyway). Someone figured out that you have a frustrating time trying to hold down the plunger and then thread the cord(s) through which can be an issue if the hole isn’t big enough. With these you insert the cord, then firmly press down the plunger, you’ll feel a snap and the plunger will spring up holding the cord, very securely. All of the ones in my package were great, but I needed more. I went back and bought a package of 100. I figure I won’t need to buy any for a long time... These are really good. If they were wimpy, rest assured, I would tell you...
