This is a great checkbook cover! It holds my checkbook and register and the card slots hold gift cards (and other cards) very well. It's not overly bulky and still folds to stay closed well even at max capacity.

It's a gorgeous cover but it's difficult to put the checks in and there's not a place for a register. I improvised.
