Grooming Tips:
- Our sheep shear is designed to handle thick coats and coarse hair on sheep, llamas, alpacas, and large dogs. It's not recommended for use on small animals.
- Before use, apply a proper amount of lubricating oil to the injection hole of the machine head, and prepare a dish of soapy water to cool the blade and prevent overheating. This will prevent the blade from becoming too hot and scalding the animal.
- Regularly check the carbon brushes of the machine and replace them when necessary. Keep the air outlet's dust-proof net clean to ensure proper heat dissipation.

I'm pretty happy with these clippers, they work well for what we need them for. I feel like they are a little big for my sometimes on the smaller animals, but they are perfectly manageable for the larger ones. They cut smoothly and are easy to clean. I'm happy with them overall.

These clippers are nicely packaged in a robust plastic case for storage. They come with an additional blade which is a plus because so many of these clippers don't include and extra blade. They also come with a bit of lubricating oil. It appears that any standard sheep type blade will fit these clippers. The clippers are heavy! Not a big deal if you only have one or two animals to clip, but doing an entire herd will be exhausting. They are also loud. My animals don't care but some might. The clip is smooth and the blades lasted for the couple of animals I clipped. They are for long thick hair. They are not for body clipping horses unless you have a Cushings horse. I think they'd be helpful in that application. Overall for a budget set of clippers, I'd give them a try.

I bought these for my dorper sheep. They are supposed to shed once a year but sometimes you get 1 that doesn't shed the way they are supposed to so I got these as back up. I have not had to use them yet but I'm glad I have them because our summers get really hot down here in the south.

These clippers went thru our old horse and 2 donkeys winter coats like a hot knife thru butter. Great clippers..well made. They are heavy!

The one speed was very noisy. While these clippers likely work well on farm animals, I needed clippers for my Cushing's horse. There were no instructions, but somewhere it mentioned you need a different type of blade for a horse, but no blade was specified.The clippers also came later than promised, however, that was likely an Amazon delivery problem. I never used them, but purchased another type of equine clipper, so I can't say anything as to whether they're good or not. What I can say is the seller was very prompt in refunding my full payment when I returned them.
