Used to tighten up the 11 speed cassette that I put on my bike to eliminate shifting of the loose gears. The bike previously had a 10 speed cassette and I removed the 2.9mm shim and installed the 1mm shim to make the installation perfect. Worked like a charm.

After taking my cassette off for a deep cleaning I must have lost a spacer. Doing some research pointed me in the direction of this spacer which goes behind the largest cog on the wheel side for a 10-speed Shimano cassette. The spacer is made of steel so I am sure it’s not the lightest but you can hardly feel the weight when holding it in your hand. After installation there was no side to side play in my cassette and the shifting was back to as smooth as ever. Glad I found this instead of having to potentially replace an entire cassette. I am running a Shimano 105 5700 cassette for anyone interested in compatibility.

It was written that there existed a spacer of such beauty, such unfathomable majesty, that to obtain one would imbue its rider with untold speed. Gear changes which would make the angels cry. It is positively radiant, and to look directly at it is to be overwhelmed by its innate power. Also, it made my chain not go all rubby when I was trying to use the 24t cog with my 50t ring.

This is a spacer ring required to fit between a Shimano Cassette and the freewheel hub (for certain hub / cassette configurations). When I moved my cassette from my old wheel to my new wheel I lost, forgot, misplaced, or ate the old spacer. Without it the middle set of cogs will rotate a bit on the hub's splines. I ordered this replacement, got it in just a couple of days, and fixed the problem. Not much else to say about the product (its a glorified washer after all), but it came very well packaged, it arrived very quickly, and the cost was reasonable.
