I received the 14-28T made-in-China freewheel as expected from the product title and description, even though the product image as of March 2023 shows the 14-34T freewheel.Interestingly, even though the invoice states that this product was "Sold by: Amazon.com Services LLC," I actually received the freewheel, not enclosed in any Shimano OEM packaging, loose in a bubble mailer from Cycle Force based out of Ames, IA. Is it customary and expected to receive new Shimano parts like that? Probably not, even a cheap freewheel. However, after at least 134 miles I've had no problems with the freewheel and the mechanism runs more quietly than the previous (very old) version that I have that is "made in Singapore."

This fit a 15 year old Walmart bike. The bike is a Mongoose XR200. You will need a freewheel removal tool. I used Park tool FR 1.3 which fits these cheaper bikes. Seems high quality.

A decent entry level freewheel gear set.

The product I received has the same part number as the image but it does NOT have a “mega range” cog which is the whole reason I bought this one. The product image is false advertising.Otherwise it seems like a good product (haven’t installed it yet).

I gave it 4 stars because everything was great except one important detail. The freewheel that I ordered and was pictured with the order has 34 cogs on the lowest gear and the one I received has 27 cogs. Actually, I am not disappointed because I was torn between which one I should order and now that I have tried it I prefer this one for my terrain. Everything else great. On time, perfect condition even though it is a “used” item I could see no signs of use. I would recommend this supplier.

I purchased one expecting it would allow me to upgrade my 1980 Giant Cabrio road bike from 5 to 7 cogs at the rear wheel. My bike has 120 mm distance for rear wheel and as I supposed enough place for bigger freewheel. It was easy to install the freewheel, it is quiet enough though a bit more noisy than my old 5-cog SunRace freewheel. However, the new freewheel is exactly one cog higher so it was not possible to switch to the smallest cog that was closer to the frame than it should be normally.I tried to add washers between the frame and the derailleur, replace the derailleur to newer wide-range model, all that did not help. The smallest cog was not available. It seems to be necessary to have at least 126 mm between dropouts to use 7-speed freewheel.I have two 7-cog mountain bikes in my family so I decided to keep the freewheel for future replacements for these bikes. Anyway, the problem is not with the freewheel, it's with my frame and hub, so I give this product all fives basing on it's behavior when I tried to tune it.

My, otherwise awesome, walmart bicycle came with a non-Shimano junk freewheel which used to give up at high load (usually going uphill or starting from rest unless you change to lower gears, with a KHAT! KHAT sound, felt like something will break)... good that it did. I was able to put this one on. Very good product. Very quiet. Great upgrade if you don't have Shimano. Easy to install, usually uninstallation needs a tool (FR 1.3 would fit here). I also changed to tourney 300 derailleur and shifting performance on this combination is great.
