Pedals are very cost effective, so far pedals are great and have 2 people spinning a couple days a week.

This is my second set, 0 issues with either. Easy to adjust the tension on them. If you're looking for a budget set of spd pedals, you cannot go wrong with these.

Took about 10 minutes to install and look great on the bike. absolutely love these pedals and I shifted from single sided Spd to these ones. Well worth the price and arrived exactly when promised. will be buying them again for one of my other bikes.

i have been using the single sided M324 pedals for a while now, so thought it was time to go for double sided....these are awesome pedals, really enjoy riding with them, easy enough to use, if you are finding clipping out a problem then buy multi directional cleats, makes it easier.the colour white matches my bike so it looks cool aswell, all matching now.

I have a hybrid bike with Shimano platform/SPD pedals, so I wanted SPD pedals for my new road bike so I didn't have to have more pairs of shoes, and these have been great for me. They adjust easily for greater or lesser resistance...I had them unclip at a bad time once but just increased the tension, and they've been great since...they unclip without difficulty but hold the shoe well, which is important as some of my cycling is in traffic and requires some on and off of the bike. Bonus: the white ones were on sale, and my bike is white, so they look great, too! Like the bike came with them even....

I actually own two pairs of these--one in black and one in white. The white pair is apparently "E-PD-M520" while the black (this item) is just "PD-M520". There is no visible or physical difference. They weigh the same, coming in the same box with the same cleats and the same oily film. However, they are excellent pedals for a commuter cyclist who doesn't want to be miffed by a single sided SPD, like myself. I've got these both on my road bike and on my fixie now and haven't yet had the problem of missing the pedal. You can literally just mash your foot into it and you'll clip in. They're also big enough to allow you to get up to speed and then clip in should you need to.As for their mechanical longevity--it's about as good as any Shimano product. The weight of the parts is the only factor, and these aren't particularly special, so there is more steel, which means they'll last longer--at least until a bearing failure happens, which shouldn't unless you're 500 pounds of pure leg muscle.

I initially used hybrid platform/SPD pedals on my new Bianchi. But it occurred to me that I never used my road bike "casually" and that the SPD side of my pedals were not the easiest to clip into. So I ditched them for these beauties instead. First, they look great. I got mine in white and the finish of both the painted and metal parts is just aces. They have an incredibly small foot print.Using SPD pedals on a road bike is occasionally frowned upon. The reasons they'll give you are almost always half baked. SPD pedals work great on road bikes, the added efficiency that SPD-SL pedals offer is really offset by the convenience SPD cleats offer when you need to get off your bike and walk about. These pedals are easy to clip into and more importantly easy to clip out of. Decidedly more easy than their SPD-SL counterparts in my opinion. You can tune the pedals to be more easy or more difficult to clip in or out of. I used them with the settings they came with and I've had no problems yet.
