I did a recent move, and the movers somehow managed to lose an entire wheel off of bicycle. I ended up replacing the wheel to only notice that they had also lost the skewer. I had shimano deore before so I decided to stick with that. Man, these things are bloody expensive at $25! The skewer is well built and feels just like the old one, quality. To be honest, I didn’t really wanna buy a cheapie part that’s gonna break in a year so that’s why I went with Shimano. With that said any high-quality part for bikes is expensive so the price is not an outlier with other big name brand and bike parts.

High quality quick release made an annoying disc break squeal disappear when numerous adjustments would not work. Very sturdy and reliable.

It’s very solid and secure, which I wanted for pulling my kids in a pull behind. I use it on my trek marlin and it looks cool and feels much more secure than whatever cheap no name one I had on there.
