The Problem: Carrying your rifle requires one or more hands
Since the creation of the rifle we have continuously looked for a better way to carry it. The rifle sling was created to make carrying your rifle more comfortable for extended periods of time.
For any of you who have ever carried a Rifle, Shotgun, or Muzzleloader with a sling, you know it is not as convenient as it should be. As you move the sling gradually works its way off of your shoulder. Because of this you may end up holding your rifle sling with your hands to keep it secure on your shoulder. This can be extremely annoying, especially if you need your hands to climb out, use your binoculars, use trekking poles, etc.
You may have even experienced your rifle falling off of your shoulder and hitting the ground. This can be devastating to your rifle, your scope, or those that are around you. The last thing you want to do on a hunt is to have to validate your rifle scope is still sighted in properly after dropping it. This is why we created the Sling Saddle.

Can't really rate how the product works or feels because I couldn't use it. The straps on my elk pack are padded - I'd say about 1 inch or so - and this clip just didn't fit. You may want to consider that and go with one of the options that has a velcro strap that wraps around under the pack strap, rather than one that would try to clip on whole like this one. Not knocking their product - I'm sure it works fine for thinner straps. Just my experience with it. I sent mine back.

The shoulder clip does it's job in holding the sling in place, but it pretty useless without the accompanying hip clip. They should be sold as a set, or make it obvious that the shoulder clip is not very effective without the hip clip.

Was looking all over for something to keep my gun from sliding off my shoulder when backpack hunting, almost bought the Mystery Ranch Quick Draw Rifle Sling since will be used most with my new MR pack but the reviews were less than positive. Figured since the price on this was pretty cheap it was worth a try. Used it this past weekend during turkey season and it holds the gun rock solid even when driving on my four wheeler! Great addition and quick, easy access to my gun. Great addition

This product worked wonderfully. I am a skeptical person but my love of gadgets overcame that and I broke out and bought it. I will never hunt again without it. I have a heavy gun and on all my previous hunts it has always slipped off my shoulder (soooo annoying). This little guy fixed that problem and I told my husband “I think this is the best thing I have ever boughten” When my hunt was over and it was my sons hunt, I kept trying and trying to get him to use it but unlike me, he’s not a huge gadget lover and being 21yrs old he didn’t need it. That’s fine, but I’m telling ya...if you’re a hunter, you’ve gotta buy it. I know it may sound silly for such a little item but it’s totally worth it and if mine broke or I lost it, I would buy it again. Hey, Christmas is around the corner and It’s the perfect stocking stuffer for the hunter in your family.

This little gadget is awesome. Went squirrel hunting last week and it held my rifle on my shoulder like a champ. My hunting pack has a chest clip to keep the shoulder harnesses in place, without that chest clip, this thing may have tried to pull my shoulder harness off. This was a great buy as it kept my rifle from slipping off my shoulder and kept my hands free.01/2025 update: I broke the clip a few years ago. Not exactly sure what happened but when I tried to sling my rifle into my shoulder clip it went all wet noodle and dang near hit me in the head.Anyway, contacted the company, told the nice I lady it broke (or I broke it somehow) and she was like ‘dang I am sorry. What’s your address?’ We exchange some info over the phone and BAM!! Like magic a new arrived at my front door before we hung up the phone (ok, it was probably a little longer than that but still, it was quick).Awesome customer service. It doesn’t get any easier than that.

Attached this to my turkey vest and from what I can tell, it will work as advertised. For tracking turkeys I can see this being useful since many times you’re going through overgrown areas of bush and briars. It does seem like I’ll need to take it off and store it prior to shooting because it gets in the way of shouldering my shotgun. They may also want to consider adding a thin layer of some sort of cushioning because this can dig into your collarbone a bit. Overall I’m pleased & I think I’d probably buy this again.
