I didn't realize this at purchase, but the male NPT connector is fixed: you are stuck with the supplied size. No way of using this unless your female supply end is at exactly the correct (extremely close) depth. Otherwise it seems to be great build quality and nice finish. A really nice heavy, shiny paperweight.

This wall elbow is very well made and solid. It must be noted, however, that a 1" threaded nipple is already attached to the back. Thats perfect if the shower 90 behind the wall is within that spec. Unfortunately, however, they tend to be all over the place so you need to measure first to make sure this fits. Typically, wall elbows have a female threaded back and you add your own threaded nipple to size. No option to change on this one.

These are very good quality fittings. I had to make a small hack to get them to work for what I was using them for, but they worked. They are a bit pricey.

You have to repair this item yourself. I bought 2 of theses and both of them were the same. Both poor assembly, not square alignment of main body to rear mounting plate. You have to disassemble and re-drill new holes that will ensure both parts are in alignment with each other. It is very disappointing that this final assembly was not carefully done, because both parts are nicely polished. if this was assembled square to each other I would have given it a 5 star rating. If you don't have the time to waste fixing the alignment, then don't purchase these, buy a trusted brand name product.
