When rotated behind the hand (which takes less than a second) it leaves all the fingers free for unencumbered, conventional fretting. It works so well because of the unique 2-piece design: the Delrin infringing section remains in place on the finger as the brass sleeve section is rotated with the thumb. The move is done with one hand, so quickly that it doesn't interrupt a solo, and any player can master it with very little practice. The revolutionary advantage of the AXYS reversible guitar slide is immediately apparent to anyone who plays slide guitar!

It took a bit to figure out how to fit but now I wouldn’t be without it!

So, I generally use a slide on the top half of my middle finger, the slide fits snug at the second knuckle, this is where I feel i have the most control when standing and playing or swapping into a slide moment etc. This reversible slide seemed like an opportunity to pull the slide down to the base of my finger and save swap out time. The issue with that is this slide has 4 ring sizes included, and none of them fit the way I'd like them to on my middle slide finger, I'd say I have average sized hands. There is one ring which fits the way I typically use a slide (half way down the finger) and that's great but it kind of kills the reason for buying this slide. I need to play with this a bit more, but as of right now there isn't really an advantage to using this vs my main brass slide. I also agree with others that the rotation on the slide base needs to have more resistance... it is workable, being a middle finger guy i can sandwich the slide between my other two fingers to keep it stable, but if you're a pinky player this could be tough. In the end if you think this is something that could help you personally, and you have the money to toss at it I say why not give it a try, I can see this thing working for some people. I may yet find a suitable way to use it myself, but so far I'm scratching my head a bit trying to figure out how to make this something I need to bring to a gig. I'm giving it 4/5 because I think for the right person this thing would be great.

Bought this particular slide after looking at online reviews. It was a present and the recipient has said he is very pleased with it.

None of the four sleeves provided would fit my fingers. They were too loose or too tight. Looks like I'm going to have to put it on a lathe and fix it.

Like several of the other comments it’s functional but…… my fingers are big and I can’t use it on my middle finger. I don’t play slide a lot so it’s hard to get a good feel with it on my ring finger. When it’s turned to where you can use your finger to fret mine will not stay in that position, starts rolling and gets in the way. I think the more you practice with it the more useful it will be. I do like the fact that you can use it to play chords and lead with it on. Just going to have to practice, practice, practice.

Took a little bit of getting used to... I wasn’t sure I was gonna like it, but it ended up working great!

La idea parece buena, pero al usarlo el sistema reversible no es nada cómodo. No lo recomiendo

This is my second one. The first one was fine but seems I misplaced it at home or left it at a gig. I like this mostly because you get a brass slide but half the weight which makes it easier to keep from hitting any frets. This is significant to me as I play on my Strat with normal string height and in concert tuning. Spinning it around to play with all my left hand is something I do occasionally but it’s a bit clunky to implement - need a bar or so to get things right. But, still faster than taking off a regular slide and stowing it. Am considering buying another one and grinding it much short as more of a second knuckle slide. I’ll comment again if and when I do that.

This can easily be adjusted to fit your finger. However, the radius of the actual slide is gigantic, so even if you fit it to your pinky (which is where I play slide) the playing surface is a thumb sized slide. It also isn't easy to pop out of the way, which was the objective of the thing

Not the Right Slide if you wear a Pinky Slide. Doesn't Fit . You have to have large Hands for this to fit. Several Ring Sizes included ,but they were all to big. Playing slide you should play with the slide at the 2nd Knuckle , NOT all the way down where a ring would fit !!!! This slide is not what I thought it was. Very large and unmanageable. I like the Idea, It just doesn't work for me as an old school slide player. This is just My Opinion. The product is made well and I don't regret trying it out. I just didn't like the Feel of it.
