This is a 1996-2002 BMW Z3 convertible top made from non-orginal twill grain vinyl.
The window will be the same size and spec as original. As a lower cost alternative it does not include some elastics, a rain guard and plastic retainer pieces and like the early model BMW Z3 tops does not have the rear relief pockets.
The topping material is an acoustically enhanced 45oz heavy weight two ply composite vinyl with a polyester inner lining. The outer surface of the topping duplicates the twill weave pattern of expensive cloth toppings.

BMW z3 01. Installed a year ago and have been impressed with the top. Lots of installing videos online just follow and don’t loose any screws. The back window has a slight crease in it from being smashed when the top is down. It’s a great product for the price. A year on in the FL sun and it still looks and feels new.

It looks REALLY good. The hardest part was in the installation since I did it myself and never did a soft top before. All the guides online aren't accurate missing a few things that are really important (Try not to break sealing frame or replace it, Screwing in corner screws easier, etc). the only real difference is the retainers where the top screws into aren't made of hard plastic so you have to adjust them by hand but it was the easiest part compared to the rest of the job. Thinking about getting another Z3 and will probably get another since the soundproofing does help on top of how good it looks. (Sidenote: Only reason it got four was that it doesn't come with instructions which was not really a big deal but would have helped but is understandable since most people buying this have experience installing tops.)

The top was "ok" maybe the plastic window could have been a little thicker...the install is difficult, definitely, hire a pro when it comes to the "Install".

Fits perfecrtly as advertised on a 1998 bmw z3. The bmw is located and purchased in dubai. This top has been bought from the US on this amazon page. I had to ship it myself to the owner but he had no trouble installling it. So to say this thing works on international variants of the z3 as well :)
