Silica Air Dryer for Ozone Generators

Purchased your Ozone Generator? Protect it with the Silica Air Dryer. Condensation and water can damage your generator. The Silica air dryer attaches to your generator and removes moisture, protecting it from humidity, mildew, and corrosion.

NOTE: The Silica Air Dryer is intended for use with our ozone generators. The dryer is not made to withstand high pressure. Ideally, the air dryer will be run under a vacuum with the open end to the atmospheric pressure of 1 to 2 PSI.

Occasionally, the Silica Air Dryer may get full of moisture, changing the color of the beads. To resolve this, place the beads in the oven at 100 degrees Fahrenheit until they return to their original color.

The device works great, but the gasket is weak. It has already broken, and I’m looking for a replacement. Does anyone know the size?

If using for ozone, do yourself a favor and plumb it through an air pump and run it on your ozone instead of the protein skimmer because you will deplete the media in a matter of days if its constantly sucking air through it. I have a 90 gallon system about 3 years old. I run a 200mg/hr ozone for only 15 minutes a night. 12am-12:15am. Hope this helps someone new to ozone.

Using this on an AIO iron remover and it works great. Been a few months and maybe the bottom 1/4 of the tube has turned pink indicating it's absorbing humidity. Unit recycles every 2 days so I'm pretty pleased. It gets my vote.

Product looks well made, but arrived with cracked cap. The box it came in did not protect the ends much, so it looks like it was dropped on the cap end during shipping and damaged it. But it looked well made so I am returning it and already ordered another.

I use silica get to keep air dry in a bunch of laboratory instruments. Sometimes I just need a small in-line dryer to keep purge air dry and this item is GREAT. It's easy to get the gel out and dry it again and the filters keep the gel from blocking the in/out ports. It's a good size (a little bigger than I expected, which is nice) and it's well made. GREAT PRODUCT and a really low price!Note: you need to provide your own inlet/outlet connectors, they look like NPT fittings so it should be hard to find, but just FYI.

I have a 125 gallon reef tank and had a cheap $35 red sea dryer. This one is 1/3 the price and way thicker plastic and more drier beads! Plus it has a sponge filter and a o-ring. For the price, any reefer / fresh water person (running ozone) should be all over this item!Toss beads in oven at 250F until they return to blue (from purple)...back to new! LOVE IT
