The mat itself is a bit on the floppy side trying to set it up. It was a little thinner than I would’ve light as silicon. I love it. It works great for painting, clay everything because you can wash it off afterwards, which is excellent of course you can use it to bake And work on i’m the one that wanted this to use doing my painting of dollhouse miniatures that I sell but also for clay work that I do. So the only real issue for me is that it has this lip around it which I’m guessing they’re thinking of paint went outside or ran down, but it’s not wide enough to even stop paint if it was being spilled.. So it’s actually in the way of your arms that will be across it same with either that or your hands so it’s like having this bump under your arm so I would say the only issue with it is really it should not have a lip and it certainly could be a lot thicker than it is considering it’s supposed to be for crafts. It does a job that it’s supposed to do, but you could use some improvements. But it also saves your table top so that itself is a win.

I bought this for our 4 year old granddaughter who loves to color with markers, paint and use glue. I don’t have a toddler craft table so this was the next best thing. It is a very nice size and works great at our kitchen table. It easily wipes clean and easy to store in my closet. I would highly recommend

My kid loves doing craft projects. I thought this mat would be useful for smaller painting projects and anything that requires small objects that can roll away easily.The mat feels pretty sturdy for what it is. I get the impression that the raised rim around it will hold its shape. While the raised edge means she wouldn’t be able to use this for larger paintings, it could still be useful as a place to set up her paints and the bowl of water to rinse the brushes while the painting sits on cardboard or scrap papers.The ruler that runs along the top of the mat is accurate. My daughter prefers to use metric measurements but it could still be helpful to quickly check that things are the same length while cutting out shapes. There was some odd puckering when I laid it down on the floor initially, but they smoothed out easily when I ran my hand over it.I’m not sure how often we’ll use the handles; it’s not like you can use it as a tray since the whole thing is flexible, but it is nice to be able to hang it up to dry with a handle rather than having to drape the whole thing over a chair back or similar. I do think it would have been nice if the handle could double as a means to secure the mat when it’s rolled up; a ring of the same material is included for this purpose but I fully expect it to disappear before year’s end. The whole thing is nice and compact when rolled up, and it went easily into the boxes we use for her art storage.This should work well for a variety of small-scale crafts or as a catch-all for paint supplies if your kid tends to use larger sheets that wouldn’t fit within the confines of the mat. I would be likely to recommend it to others, and it’s possible I may borrow it from my daughter now and then if I do any work with clay or other messy materials.

My daughter loves doing arts and crafts along with slime. I don’t want to stunt her creativity but it’s exhausting dealing with the aftermath. This silicone mat is going to save my sanity.It’s shaped like a tray and has handles. The edges are higher so beads or little bits will not roll off like they would on a flat surface.The top part has a ruler that goes up to 20 inches if anything needs to be measured. You can easily wipe it down and roll it up if it’s not in use.
