NOTE:
- Only laptops with USB C ports coming from the GPU can support the bandwidth throughput required for VR. Please confirm by looking in your Nvidia/AMD settings. USB C ports must be connected to dedicated graphics cards from AMD or Nvidia
- Please check your graphics card and DisplayPort cable support the DisplayPort 1. 4 functions. VR headsets need support DisplayPort 1.4 function.

I had bought this and tried it with Ubuntu but it wasn't working, so I stored it away. I had to install Fedora because something went wrong with Ubuntu driver and just thought of giving it another try, and boy did it work. This really works! It was Ubuntu at fault for not having all the drivers for my laptop.

Le connecteur ne fonctionne pas (du tout). On se méfie en voyant l'annonce, on devrait faire confiance à son instinct. Je ne commanderai plus jamais de produit de cette marque.

Great product but unless you have a 4k monitor do not buy this, for some unknown reason if you plug this into your USB C/C 4 it will just drain that outlet and soon it will not work for your monitor.Odd but true, my monitor worked fine for 3 weeks until my Dell IT guy told me to switch the Display Port adaptor and "lo and behold" my monitor worked again.I'm not an IT expert so someone out there can explain the phenomena

I've seen a few reviews about the adapter not working or performing poorly with VR headsets and I wanna say. It's true. Although it does 'work' the display is very pixalated and ugly. Do not use for vr. Go with a reputable cable company if you are going to use vr.

Habe den Adapter gestern bekommen und kurz getestet. Zu der Haltbarkeit kann ich keine Aussage machen, ansonsten ein top Produkt:Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Saubere Aluminiumteile, passgenaue Stecker und ein hochwertiges und trotzdem nicht zu steifes Nylonkabel. Nach einer Stunde Betrieb, davon ca. 30 Minuten 4K-Video über Youtube, hat sich der Adapter nicht erwärmt.Ich betreibe ihn an einem Huawei Mateview 28 (4K+) mit dem zum Monitor mitgelieferten DP auf MiniDP-Kabel am Mini-Displayport monitorseitig und am USB-C Port des Mac Mini M1. Kurz meine Konfiguration:HDMI-Eingang (nur bis 50Hz laut Hersteller): Windows 11 AMD Ryzen 3500 Matebook der 1. Generation mit vollen 4K+ bei 30Hz (mehr FPS kann die integrierte Grafik nicht).USB-C seitlich: hier betreibe ich ein M1 Macbook Pro 13 mit 4k+ bei 60Hz, allerdings skaliert damit man noch etwas lesen kann ;-).Mini-Displayport: M1 Mac Mini bei 4K+ und 60Hz, ebenfalls skaliert. Für diesen Mac Mini wurde der Adapter benötigt um einerseits die 50Hz Beschränkung des HDMI-Eingangs zu umgehen, andererseits um lästiges Umstecken des USB-C Kabels zwischen Mac Mini und Macbook zu ersparen. Zudem kann ich so beide Macs zeitgleich benutzen und muss nur kurz den Eingang am Monitor umschalten.Ich hatte zuerst bedenken, da bei einem anderen Adapter (Maxonar) stand: KEIN Mini-DP. Ich weiss aber nicht ob das auf den physikalischen Stecker bezogen war oder tatsächlich auf die Signalübertragung. Könnte auch an der Übersetzung Chinesisch-Englisch-Deutsch liegen ;-)))Der Silkland funktioniert auf jeden Fall einwandfrei in oben genannter Konfiguration.

From my humble use of the product thus far, I can say from a perspective of a Utrawide monitor 21:9 aspect ratio it's working as it should be without any issues and it gives confidence in the product due to the material design and level of qualities in the design it seems sturdier than other adapter I have owned previously.

Looks and works just as posted. I like this style because you can keep your cables organized and just plug in the dp cable to the adapter. you can also use dp to hdmi adapter for tvs that only have hdmi.used on msi m16 2023 laptop and dell 34in qhd monitor.
