I bought this as a backup for another style I purchased but was on backup from horse.comDidn't fit my 17h OTTB well, was somehow too big?! Not really leather and is VERY stiff, when trying to break in it cracked and looks funky now.Not a huge loss for the $ - it could work for someone

Very good quality but very long. For my 15.1 hand paint I had to punch another hole probably a good 6 to 8 inches past the last one. For the small Appaloosa it was a good 10 to 12 or more inches. Once it was hole punched it was VERY EFFECTIVE

It does not come with a clip on the end to attach the Martingale to the cinch (the picture is correct that it does not show this clip) but the problem is that you cannot add a clip. There is no way to take the buckle off or the rings off. They are sewn on. The only way I could attach a clip is to use a key chain ring and put it around the loop at the end of the Martingale and then through the bottom of the clip. I could not come up with any other way to attach the clip. Be warned.Also, I'm pretty sure its not 100% leather. It feels and smells like plastic so I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time. Maybe it is leather with a plastic coating?

Just got my martingale, so I can't talk about long lasting quality, but I was surprised when I opened it to find really nice, supple leather that looks and feels great, ESPECIALLY FOR THIS PRICE! Super fast delivery too- came in just a few days! I look forward to using this and seeing how it holds up over the long run.
