Code listed for cracked and uncracked concrete, and masonry applications, the Simpson Strong-Tie Strong-Bolt 2 wedge-type expansion anchor is an optimal choice for high-performance even in seismic and high-wind conditions. Dual undercutting embossments on each clip segment enable secondary expansion should a crack form and intersect the anchor location; this feature significantly increases the ability of Strong-Bolt 2 to carry load if the hole expands. I needed to emplace a charcoal grill post in a new brick pit. Using an impact drill and masonry bit to make the holes in the brick and masonry, the bolts expanded and grabbed the walls of the holes giving secure mounts for the post base.

Product works great. The 7” size cannot be found locally. Mostly, I use these to mount X-Ray equipment to concrete floor. Sometimes there is a support base of 3 inches so the anchor has to extend through the base then another 3 inches into the concrete. Works perfect.

Not the best for shallow holes. I had countersink these so they went in about 2.5" (with hammer) for them to grab. Once i figured out what they needed, it went smooth. Not without some cursing however ;)
