The soft case style includes heavy duty dual zippers and an external pouch for storage of accessories. A comfortable carrying handle and a padded adjustable shoulder strap make the Soft Case a lightweight alternative to a hardcase.

This year I had to replace my grandson's sax case. Why? Well what I thought was wear and tear on the case lining was really a bug that eats the velvet. Since I was getting the horn ready for this year's band I checked out several cases. This case is light compared to the original hard case. It has an outside pocket that pens, erasures, reeds, and paperwork can be kept in. The only thing it doesn't have is a special hole to keep the mouthpiece in If my grandchild finds this a problem then we will have to check around.

I am very happy with this saxophone case. I have had a few different types of cases, mostly with a hard plastic shell, and this design is better for my use. I just needed a good case to store my sax in and transport it in my vehicle. This case does not slide around in the back of my SUV and has plenty of storage with the front pocket.

Because of the high rating I gave this case a try.I was disappointed with the case.Pros:-It meet the fundamental requirement ... Protects the instrument well!-Plenty of room inside for accessoriesCons:-The "feet" of this case are not 4 feet out at the corners, but two 1-1/4"X 2-1/2" (contact area touching floor) pads which are located in the middle under the sax. Additionally, the soft case bulges in the middle so the pads do not sit flat! My case sat with a pronounced lean and had a tendency to flop over onto the top!-The handle straps are too short! I hope I got a fluke, but it is aggravating to have to "fight" the handle straps in order to wrap the velcro handle around them. Once velcro'ed I have to "wedge" my hand in under the handle and my knuckles rub the fabric as I carry the sax. If you look closely at the Amazon photos, you will see that the handles are not actually inside the velcro, so I fear mine is not a fluke.Either of these is a deal killer for me!For an easily justified extra $10, I replaced it with one of these:I am delighted with it! In addition to matching the protection and accessory storage of the SKB, it has 4 proper feet for stability and the handle velcros together with ease and no "knuckle burn".Additional benefits of Protec Max case:-Dedicated Pocket for mouthpiece-Handle on end (after sax is out) is great for grabbing empty case and stowing it away at a gig (I usually stand case up when it is empty to save space).-Velcro flap to hold case closed (again without the sax inside) save time and wear of closing the zippers before tucking the case away-Exterior pocket is larger at 9.5" X 20.5" and will fit sheet music (but not the larger folders that bands often use).-Straps for "backpacking" under velcro flap (I may never use, but it may come in handy if I ever have to park far away from venue).-Overall better quality...I have them side by side (wanted to make sure Protec was better before returning SKB) the Protec just feels better. the handle straps are heavier with a foam tube in the center to give structure to the handle, the zippers are tighter and smoother (not as coarse) with heavy rubber pulls. A lot of little things, but they all add up!-Better looking...Cleaner; walls are flatter, seams are straighter, doesn't have screw heads pulling on exterior fabric.I must say there is something wrong when the SKB has higher ratings than the Protec. Maybe the people buying the SKB are just happy it protects their sax and the people buying the Protec are seeking perfection, but if the SKB offers any benefit over the Protec, I cannot find it!

My son had a very heavy hard case for his Sax. This has been a life savor!!!! The strap works great for him to carry on his shoulder. I waited to do my review on the case, he started using in it January, it is now the end of April, and we have had no problems with the case. No rips, or issue with the zipper. The is a great case that fit his Sax well. His sax is well protected in this case, and makes riding the bus home with it easier. If your in the market for a new case, this would be the one to get.

This is a great case. It offers excellent protection, and is very light compared to a hard-shell case. It has a lot of storage, with plenty of room for just about everything you would need.

I bought this case to replace the hard case that came with the used saxophone my husband recently purchased from a relative. The case had a big hole in the side and had been covered with black electrical tape. For this reason I did not want to purchase another hard case. I worried that the soft case would not protect the saxophone sufficiently. However, I found that it more than meets my needs. While the outside is a "soft" case, the inside has more than sturdy enough protection to protect the saxophone from any damage. My husband loved the gift.

The entire saxophone fits perfectly. The only thing wrong was that one of the zippers fell off after less than a month of using it. Still works great though.

Excellent service and my sax fits the case. The only thing I looked for and didn't find was a place for the mouthpiece. I have to put it in the larger open space with the neck strap. The pockets take care of the other items I had in my old case. I am glad I don't have to worry about the latches on my old case dumping my sax on the ground. I have used the shoulder strap also which frees up my hands when unloading it from the car. I will also say that the service was very fast, even quicker than promised.
