What i like most about this Skeg guard is that peace of mind that your lower end is protected no matter what’s under water. And if your Skeg is damaged already well you can put this guard on to prevent further damage and looks amazing while doing so.

used the skeg guard to repair a damaged skeg. Simply straightened the remaining pot metal skeg and hammered this one on. drilled out the holes through the skeg and tightened the included screws. If I had this installed before I hit the submerged sandstone finger, it might not have broken off in the first place.

This product arrived with no instructions on how to mount. My husband did the best he could to install it and it fell off while while in the water. We were so excited when it arrived, but sadly disappointed in this product.
