More than a decade ago, Skunk2's engineers revolutionized Honda performance by creating the first-ever, high-flow, cast aluminum intake manifold. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold for most Honda SOHC D-series engines features a larger plenum and oversized runners when compared to the OEM version for maximum horsepower and torque gains. Instead of producing a manifold with a significantly oversized plenum and excessively short runners that would sacrifice mid-range power, the Pro Series manifold was designed for the “street enthusiast” who wants more power but doesn’t want to sacrifice mid-range performance to get it. The results are improved airflow, an enhanced venturi effect, and both mid-range and top-end power gains. Skunk2’s cast-aluminum Pro Series Intake Manifolds for Honda’s D-series engines are a direct-fit replacement for most D-series engines and are compatible with all factory sensors. Pro Series Intake Manifolds offer horsepower and torque gains greater than competitors’ manifolds but without compromising mid-range power output. The design incorporates specially tapered runners as well as a larger, tapered plenum that together preserve mid-range power but increase and accelerate airflow to allow for significant top-end power gains. Pro Series Intake Manifold runner exits are also machined to best match the cylinder head’s ports. Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifold’s shape and design also increases wave scavenging effects at the engine’s ideal operating range, which allow for a broad increase in usable power. Skunk2 is a familiar name in the intake manifold business, with more than 10 years of experience designing, testing, and building them. Similar to OEM manifolds, Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds are shell-molded from 356-aluminum, CNC-machined for superior strength, a precise fit, and a high-quality finish, and vacuum-tested for quality. Each manifold is molded with smooth transitions from the throttle body opening to the plenum to the runners with clean parting lines for an optimal finish, both inside and out and features a genuine Skunk2 nameplate. Honestly this thing is so pretty mounted on the car. Is pretty good quality. That’s why I don’t understand why the coolant hose fitting on the bottom left of the manifold is SO CLOSE to the manifold. It’s literally impossible to put a hose on. I ended up bending it slightly with a screw driver and was able to barely get a hose on. Haven’t driven much with it installed but won’t be surprised at all if the fitting starts to leak. Have read multiple places that they are prone to that. Bad look on skunk for something so simple

The intake does not work on a 99 head. I had to get a 98 head to make it work. The idle was rough & called skunk & they said that to make it work I would have to get a 98 head.

Super fast shipping, dad happened to catch them when they were dropping item off so it didn't get sent back to warehouse. Arrived in 6 days and when the guy told me to pick it up after signing the release papers, i was shocked at how light the box was. Had to open it up right away to look at is make sure i bought the right thing.Sure enough it was exactly what i was expecting! I got the black edition, didn't see a chrome or clear-coat version on here on date of purchase but since my car is all black red and white themed this will suit the bill perfectly.Still need to find a Red fuel rail to go with this intake and match up with my Red valve cover also my black and red blow-off valve, oil catch can, Hose connecting parts, and oil filter adapter plate. Next is Chrome air Piping, with a Black innercooler and a new turbo. The stuff i have from my old car is old, rusty, ugly, leaky and tired, I already have a new Stainless steel ram header with BOV and Turbo mounts, and a 5 bolt stainless 2.5 inch downpipe. This will be replacing my turbo manifold log. A 70mm Skunk2 Throttle body is in mail. Skunk2 3 bar map sensor already installed in car as is makes no diff being installed early or not. (Turbo is not installed yet) oh i still also need to find a Hondata. I've got a ported and polished Vtec Z6 head with new valves springs and retainers and a semi-racing cam I'd like to install, it needs a new Vtec solenoid and a new wiring harness. I have an Apexi Vtex-Air-fuel Controller and a Jump harness for OBD0-OBD1 but for now I'm working on getting this system up and running with the stock non Vtec Y7 head.

It isn't easy to install, so be aware. However, HP gains are noticeable. I'll hear the airflow given the intake capacity to bring more air.
