Not what I would call wood screws. I feel that you should predrill the holes anyway. You don't want to crack your stock. I did predrill (9/32 bit) & they fit perfectly. Plus it came with 6 screws. When lot of sellers charged the same price or more for only 2. These are great quality. Sturdy. 2 lengths. Definitely worth the price.
