The extra large bumps designed to slow eating are so oversized my senior cat kept biting the ceramic itself. My cat had a similar dish in the past that was perfect for slowing her without stopping her or risking harm to her teeth/mouth. Two stars because the angle/height was right and the color is pretty.

My intention was fulfilled for it slowing my tabby cat down when inhaling food prior (and throwing up). My 11 year old high maintenance, picky tabby is taking time to adjust. The product itself was packaged securely. The quality is 100%. I always hand wash quality dishwater so no issues with paint peeling or any of that.

I have a couple of hefty cats I'd like to encourage to eat less dry food. While the newest one is still ambivalent about wet food, I figured if I started putting kibble out in a slow feeder, it might help him scarf down less. Whether it works remains to be seen, but this is an exceptionally nice bowl, well designed for cats and their whiskers. It's attractive and holds enough that I won't be refilling it all the time, as I am with the regular bowls I have for the cats.Recommended!
