Only one reviewer said these required heavy winds to work, so I was hoping that wasn’t so, but I just hung them outside, the breeze is blowing the leaves on the trees and bushes, and these chimes only very occasionally make a light tinkling sound. Not sure why they don’t catch the wind, but they don’t. I’ll probably have to return unless I can figure out a way to make them work.

Perfect for my small deck area. I like the simple design - black tubes and warm red wood. Best of all: a sweet, lovely tone. Amazed to find such a nice wind chime at this price.
