This looked to have a great design and I liked the small size, 10 year battery and sticker or nails to attach to the wall. The problem was I could not get the cover off to start battery and to attach to wall. There were no directions to do this. I don't know if my particular unit was stuck shut but I had to pry the cover off and ruined the pegs that kept it attached making the product useless. If a company spends the money to design a good product they should spend a little to include instructions and troubleshooting.

This is MUCH smaller than I expected, and I love how minimalist it is! Set-up and installation/use is very easy, as expected. I haven't had it go off yet, but tests indicated that it was functioning. I love its form factor and it is an improvement over the more typical big bulky pancake type models. Love it.

This review is for the "Smoke Alarm, Upgraded 10-Year Battery Heat and Smoke Detection for Dual Protection in Fire Alarms, LED Indicator Loud Alarm with Test/Mute Button and Replaceable CR123A Battery."This smoke and high temperature detector is one of the nicer detectors I now own. For the price, I can't say anything negative.Construction is clean and it has an expensive feel to it. It's heavy- not made of cheap materials from what I could see. The product description, although a bit messy with translation and boasting, has its place imho. It is a really nice product. Easy to install and test. I especially like the long lasting battery to be honest.I have no caveats. This one is being installed and used near my studio fireplace to keep tabs on it. Totally worthy of recommendation.

I always thought it was strange that our house has never had a smoke detector in the garage. We have our gas powered water heater along with electrical appliances and tools and some household chemicals all occupying that space, so fire potential lives there. I got this to fill that void in our home safety systems. It is quite small -- about the size of a typical tape measure -- and comes with all of the hardware to install it as well as an easily replaceable battery that is supposed to last for ten years.I installed this between the door into the house and the attic access door in the garage. This should quickly detect any source of combustion in the garage or smoke and heat seeping down from the attic, and be heard clearly inside the house. I tested the unit and it has a clear piercing squeal as you would expect from any good smoke detector. This is a simple economical way to increase your safety and peace of mind and protect the value of your home. Highly recommend!

This is one small unit, ideally sized for an rv or bus! Itโs less than 3โ x 3โ! Itโs a little hard to rotate the back plate off to get access to the battery, but with a flat blade screw driver you can rotate the mounting plate off. It was real stiff the first couple of times. When you press the test button, the alarm is very high pitched and easy to hear for someone like me with a hearing loss. As with most folks, I donโt sleep with my hearing aids in, so this thing needs to wake the dead. All in all, a good little unit.

This heat and smoke detector is very compact at just 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/8".The smallest one I have ever seen.Our 4 smoke detectors have just had the battery expired after 10 years of use.Don't you hate those non-replaceable batteries?I ordered this Pildegro heat and smoke detector, for a change.It comes with a CR123A 3V lithium battery that is replaceable and widely available for purchase.I opened the back by twisting the bottom piece to the left just a bit.Very easy to do once I know how to do it.There is a perforated metal along the side which looks nice.Press the test button and the alarm was very loud.It is good enough to wake me up from sleep.There are two options to mount it.First, the traditional two-screws mount which may require drilling.Alternatively, a double-sided adhesive for easier and faster mount.The smoke alarm is very lightweight. Perhaps I do the adhesive mount.The price at the time of this review is $20.I wish there is a coupon and I can buy at least 3 more of these.
