This soft bullet toy gun with shell ejection is a fun concept, and the realistic look is initially appealing. The shell ejection mechanism is a neat feature that adds to the realism, and it's relatively easy to load and operate. It's certainly a step up from basic dart guns, and the price point (under $10) is attractive. However, I'm giving it three stars because the build quality is quite cheap. The plastic feels flimsy and brittle, and I'm concerned about its long-term durability, especially with rough play. The accuracy is also not great; the soft bullets tend to veer off course, even at relatively short distances. While the shell ejection is fun, the shells themselves are small and easily lost. Overall, it's a decent toy gun for the price, and the shell ejection feature is a novelty. But the cheap construction and questionable durability limit its appeal. It's okay for casual, supervised play, but it's not a rugged or long-lasting toy. The age recommendation of 12 years old also feels a bit high, given the flimsy construction. Younger children, under supervision, might enjoy it more, but be prepared for potential breakage.

This is a super cool and affordable gift! It works as described and comes with only a few fake rounds. Given their small size, they disappear quickly once fired—unless you have a keen eye to track them! Overall, it's a decent and fun product, but it's definitely not designed for years of play.

My husband loves these to guns. I wouldn't recommend them for children, however, as they are too realistic. Perhaps they'd be good for safety training teenagers.

Good you although fake bullets sometimes get jammed.

The design is realistic, and it seems like a fun concept, but the quality just isn’t there. The plastic feels cheap, the foam bullets fall out of the shells before you can even load them properly, and it misfires more than it actually shoots. The teen I had test it gave up after 10 minutes out of frustration. It might look nice, but as a functional toy, it’s disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend unless you just want it for looks.

I got this toy because my kid loves "foam blasters" (not sure I can say the brand name in a review). He's old enough to know what a "real" pistol looks and feels like so I'm considering this a nice little training weapon. I'm making him treat it like an actual firearm (even if it definitely doesn't hurt if you get hit by the foam bullets).Loading the bullets is a bit tedious but not too bad. We found that you pretty much have to push the bullet the whole way into the casing so you can load the magazine -- not really how the directions explain it. Loading the magazine feels pretty much like the real deal but easier to compress the spring so anyone can load it no problem. You do have to chamber each round manually by racking the slide between each shot. Not a big deal but just wanted to call it out. He's shot at least 20 mags worth through this thing and it's only jammed up a handful of times (stovepiped a round on ejection). I told him to slow down a little on releasing of the slide and it really hasn't been a problem since. As mentioned, the foam bullets don't really hurt -- definitely less than the big foam darts the other brands use. Even so, I made sure he's wearing safety glasses just in case. The bullet has a significant drop after 10 feet or so -- probably only shoots 15-20 feet depending on how high you aim. Definitely not winning any target competitions with this thing. Also, you only get 1 magazine but 16 casings (enough to fill 2 mags) and 20 foam bullets (in case you lose some). As for the build quality, it's definitely thin and lightweight. As you can see from the one picture the silver sticker is bubbled up when we got it. However, for the cost you can't really complain that much. Most comparable foam bullet guns are twice as much. Regardless, he has fun with it and I keep making sure he's treating it like a real weapon. Even toy guns need to be handled with care. If you want to play around with something like this, it's not a bad choice for the cost.

Everything seems well made, especially for something the listing itself describes as "cheap". This gun requires you to rack the slide every time to discharge the empty case and feed a new one in, but that action does work well. It jams sometimes but what do you expect really. It's fun to play with so I'm satisfied.

No range and it just overall sucks! You are better off getting a Nerf dart and throwing it at others. My divorce was a much better experience! I'd rather get kicked in the jimmy than use this, and I could not bear giving this as a gift unless I truly hated the person.
