Package arrived Intact and in new condition. It’s a pretty basic item and I did notice the quality of the lens hood did change, not for the better. Then again it does the job for protecting the lens element from a potential drop and also keeps sun reflections out of the image. Glad Amazon carries the oem version.

Having purchased a variety of aftermarket “universal” fit lens hoods I was pleased to find an OEM replacement. As expected, the fit and quality are perfect and I am a happy photographer. 4 times more expensive but the generics I have tried were worthless. This lens hood is specifically for the Sony ALCSH131 which is made for the 55mm f1.8 ZA lens.

I got this lens used online, but it came without the hood. I just popped this puppy on it and it worked like charm. It's the original OEM version, so thats good. I don't know what this is made of, but it feels nice lol

Replacement hood for 55 1.8 Zeiss that also fits my 35 2.8 and replaces that garbage half cap they come with. Yes I would purchase this again!

This is the exact same hood you get when you buy it brand new, straight from the manufacturer! I purchased my lens on eBay and it didn't come with the hood and I didn't want a knock off. This is perfect! Verified correct part number from Sony's website to fit the Sony FE Zeiss 55mm 1.8 lens.
