When you're larger up top you need to find separates that work in everything. I'm 5'3", with a thick waist and a flat backside, and weigh 170lbs (carried fairly evenly) but I wear a UK 36H bra (US 36J) - this means I cannot wear 1 piece swimsuits without having my top smashed and the bottom portion too loose & long. I have a bra-sized top from a UK manufacturer and have been looking for a bottom that will cover what I don't want on display. I purchased both the medium (my normal size in bottoms) and large (based on reviews). The medium fit better around the leg openings, but the large fit better at the waist. I kept the large because of this. My personal rating would have been 4 stars, but I can't fault the manufacturer for my short stature. If you have larger legs/hips/butt, or are "normal" in distance from your navel to your crotch, this may fit you much better than it does me.This bottom provides excellent coverage, is flattering on and when in the water it doesn't seem to float up significantly (no unwanted exposure). It hides apron belly really well. It also doesn't interfere with swimming. The only complaints I have are most likely due to how my body is - I am "short-waisted" (short from my navel to crotch compared to most people) so this is likely all due to my body configuration. The brief is quite loose on me in the leg openings, and seems long. Fortunately, the skirt overlay stays down while swimming (and floating) in the pool so I'm not concerned. Could it fit me better? Absolutely. And I may still so some alterations to get that perfect fit. However, it's by far the best bottom option like it that I've found and I'm 100% happy with my choice.

The skirt is well made and looks nice. I wish I had sized down. Although it does fit it is looser than I was hoping and I feel like the size down from what I ordered would have looked nicer on. Since it was loose there are some places on it that the seams that don’t lay flat and poke out. Primarily the sides. The color is nice it is a great length and is very comfortable for a new mom that is a little self conscious in her new body.

I loved almost everything about this skirt except for the waistband. I am 5'6" and weight 124lbs and have a fairly slim/athletic build. I don't carry a lot of excess weight around the middle, however I found the waistband to be unusually tight/uncomfortable. Like, I could possibly wear it for a while, but eventually would want to take it off. If the elastic in the waist band were a little wider and slightly less tight, it would be perfect. If I am going to wear something like this I want it to be really comfortable. Otherwise the skirt had a cute shape and I liked the length. I purchased this to wear casually and not for swim use. I returned it.

It’s not an a-line or tennis skirt type fit as shown. Returns are difficult for people in Canada as you can’t use Canada Post for a free return. Need to find a UPS or pay yourself and hope to get reimbursed for up to $20
