Bought this to use for flag football. Used this in high school and has always been one of my favorite leather balls to use. Compared to the GST, it’s a lot narrower making it feel smaller but the S-Tack leather makes the grip a lot better. Prepping this with leather conditioner, mud, wax and constant brushing makes this super easy to throw and catch.

My Football is only 1 year old, it is only used on turf and our equipment is stored in the garage. That being said it no longer holds air past a couple of days, it just deflates on its own. It's been doing this since the summer time, we have to air it up every time we go out to train.

For years, I laughed when people paid the extra money for these Leather Spalding Alpha Footballs... Well, I am eating my words now. What a HUGE difference it makes in QB Training for my son. He loves these footballs, and his throwing has improved tremendously!

So my kid needed this ball because the HS he's planning to attend, uses it for their program. Out of the box, it's clearly a football, but not a quality product. There is a ridge in one of the panels; kind of like there's a wire inside, running from tip to tip. The panel seams rise up, so as you rotate the ball in your hands, it has distinct ridges where the panel seams come together. The quality balls we've been using have no panel seam ridges; AT ALL. So, I gave it a 2 star because it's what we needed, but the quality of manufacturing/design, is poor.

Great pee wee ball, I as a coach went through every brand of football for 9 year old 7 on 7. This was by far the best real leather ball out there. The true test of these balls I found were when you threw them far- they all did fine on short passes but the others when thrown hard were a wobbly mess. This is the best balanced real leather football.

It did just what we wanted! My son is a collegiate punter/kicker and this is the type football he uses at school. It helped greatly during summer practices!

My son's QB coach recommended this ball and it instantly became his favorite vs. others he had used. There's none of the fake, tack-ified grip nonsense that you get from some other manufacturers (which my kid doesn't like)... it's just a real, leather football with a great feel. Also, fwiw, I had some questions directly for Spalding customer service through their website and they were very quick, responsive and thorough. Very satisfied customer here.

great football overall. very durable and tough. the thing i personally like about this ball is that i dont have to worry about the nose of the ball rounding, ive had it for a while and its been through lots of contact on the ground due to people dropping it when i throw and its still a sharp noticeable nose. throwing wise, it is very very nice. im able to throw beautiful fades and post routes as well as slants etc. i suggest this football to anyone who wants practice or just a fun time.
