Did not fit vehicle. Had to custom make parts and removed others to make it fit. Would not recommend.

Inexpensive aluminum heater core that replaces the stock brass one. Fit nicely and doesn't leak after several uses.

Purchased this for a 1978 Lincoln mark V. Easiest heater core I ever did. Replacement is under the hood, not dashboard on this car. Removal: 4 screws, 2 hose clamps...pull up. Whole job took 1 hour, out with the old, in with the new, new hoses, new heater valve. New heater core is 5/8" fittings, use with 5/8" hose. Gates premium red heater hose, a tiny bit of Permatex gasket sealer, and Constant tension bands CTB-22s are the way to go. Never leak again. It was an exact fit...I mean EXACT fit. I measured the old copper/brass and compared to new aluminum. Old foam fit perfectly, was not deteriorated. Could not ask for a better fit.Notable is the fin size. The new core has much smaller fins, and much smaller opening between fins, with many, many time more surface area compared to the copper/brass. Was evident immediately once I started it up and put the heat on. Differential temperature across the in/out heater hose was about 20 deg, whereas the old was about 10 deg, indicating the new core was giving up more heat from the coolant returning to the engine. This is also the case with aluminum radiators...aluminum radiators are definitely more efficient than copper/brass.

Heater core was not as pictured. Core was made of aluminium, not copper. also design was different, smaller air passages.
