Direct fit, had to bend the ends slightly to reach the hose connections, no big deal.

It took a little bit of wiggle to get the 3 mounting holes to line up, 2 out of 3 fit fine. the third required bending the bracket a bit. All things being equal no real complaint there. The tank inlet pipe was a bit larger than stock, I used a heat gun to warm up the stock rubber elbow between the filler neck and tank which made it softer and easier to install. A bit of lube on the filler neck and it slipped into place without any drama. The stock clamps fit fine.I replaced this while I was already days into a complete tank replacement on a 2002 Rav4, including new straps as well. I used Spectra parts for all 3 components and they fit together well. The biggest hassle was the "quick release" evap line between the filler neck and the tank with the blue plastic latch. The line was very rusted, I ended up cutting it off the filler pipe assembly and putting it into a vice so that I could works it apart with a rubber hammer, lots of lube and a blunt punch. I did finally get it apart and was able to reuse it but it would have been easier to have a new one on hand and replace it. I don't know if they are still available from Toyota or aftermarket.

I bought this for my 2001 rav4 2.0L. And the first problem out of the gate is that none of the mounting brackets line up with the mounting holes. Not even close. The second issue is that even though the specification on the fuel inlet pipe is 1.00”, it’s actually almost 1.100”. That may not seem like a lot, but that is +/- 10% and ultimately my hose would not fit it. Original OEM came in at 1.012”. I ended up purchasing another one of these from my local parts store and it was the exact same spectra part with the exact same manufacture date and to no surprise, the exact same problems. I’m not sure if they just had a bad run of these, or what, but their QC is very Poor in my opinion. Of course Amazon is great in making these returns super easy.

Much cheaper than the Toyota OEM. Fits like original too. I would deduct 1/2 star if possible as the finish inside the mouth is a bit rougher than OEM. This induces friction when twisting the filler cap making it a bit harder to get the cap on after filling the tank. Not a deal breaker and perhaps the cap will become easier to twist with some use. If you live in an area where salt is applied to roads in the winter, you may wish to apply some anti-corrosion spray up in the fender and to this assembly after installation. This may help extend the life of this assembly.

Replacement was easy. The top bracket required a bit of twisting to get it to mate up with the lug on the car without a gap but that was very easy. All holes were precisely aligned with the lugs for the bolts. The tubes at the bottom all lined up with their respective hoses. The OEM cap fits tighter than in the OEM filler neck and so must be lined up just right to reinstall the cap after fueling. (I did not get a new cap since it had been recently replaced.) The finish looks like it will hold up. The finish had no flaws. Recommend you also purchase a new fuel hose than runs to the tank.

I will preface that I received a box with an Amazon return label on it, so apparently someone received and then returned the item I am reviewing. The bracket alignment was off on Rav 4 and made for a more difficult installation than what was expected. Could not get all three bolt locations to line up at the same time. Eventually was able to get it to fit after bending the bracket and installing and reinstalling the bolts multiple times. Haven't filled up yet, but it should be good.

Perfect fit on my RAV4 2001. Comes with all the rubber bushings, all you have to do is take out the gas pump and a few other thing and you are all set.
