Electric fans are far more efficient than mechanical engine driven fans because they free up horsepower and only run when you want them to (when used with a fan controller, not included). Plus, most electric fans can be mounted ahead of the radiator (pusher) or behind the radiator (puller), with the more efficient location being on the engine side of the radiator as a puller configuration. These powerful electric fans work with 6-volt electrical systems and draw 6 to 10 amps, depending on the size. The fan is supplied as a "puller" to mount behind the radiator, but it can be changed to a "pusher" by reversing the wires and mounting in front of the radiator. Available in 12", 14" or 16" diameters. Fans have 10 straight blades. High impact plastic construction. Sealed ball bearings for long life. Can push or pull. Works with positive or negative ground systems. Includes mounting ears (straps not included) For best results, be sure that your generator supplies enough current to power the fan. If it does not, check out our 6 Volt Alternator 91067169. It supplies additional current at idle to run electric accessories, unlike many factory generators. To learn more about the importance of using a fan shroud along with your cooling fan, read our tech article Radiator Cooling Performance. *Relay and fan control sold separately.
