Be sure you have space in your gear bag. It will be needed. The filters and holders are well made and suit my needs. I have no need for over priced equipment that I only use occasionally as needed. I like the products and would purchase them again.

I basically purchased this filter set so I could use an Orange filter to simulate sunset and sunrise photos. I intend to use the graduated purple and blue filters for more creative effects.

This is a kit consisting of three parts. They are a filter holder, and an adapter to fit the holders onto almost all lenses and the filters themselves. Please see the images that are part of this review showing these parts and then two assembled, on a cloth (for clarity) and then mounted on a camera. The last image is after a filter’s installed into the holder.Systems like this have been around seemingly forever. They do work with both advantages and disadvantages compared to conventional filters that directly screw onto a lens. The biggest advantage is that due to the universality of the adapter, one filter can work on all your cameras and all your lenses – a serious cost benefit to a hobby or profession that costs dearly to remain in. The two significant drawbacks are that the filter assembly once installed on the lens adds a great deal of clumsiness to the camera that screw on filters don’t and you need to carry more equipment to use this style of filter versus a screw on.This particular kit does work well but has two minor issues and one major one. The first is that the nice case holds the supplied filters excellently but nothing else leaving the adapters and holder as added loose pieces I need to find a place for in my carry case. I can easily see myself arriving on site only to find I need a 77mm adapter but have instead, the 72mm one making the entire kit useless for that shoot. The major issue is the lack of photographic quality in the filters. The work all right for fooling about but not for serious work. The other issue is that the filters are an interference fit into the holder. I find this to be remarkably annoying given the nature of these filters. These are for setups rather than action photos. In my case using the graduated filter for landscape, I’ll setup the composition, set the exposure and focus and finally add the filter. However, I found I never could insert a filter without ruining the composition because it took so much force to get the filter fully into the holder. Addressing this latter issue would be a bit of an issue because it’d mean the filter holder would have to both allow free sliding of the filters and also, through a lever or other control, a stop to hold the filter but as it stands now, it’s an issue at least to me.Still, this is a kit that will add a huge array of filters to your kit at a cost that’s almost impossible to turn down.

I'm not impressed but I think this set has its place. Let's start with the cons. The main thing that is missing from the description is that these filters are not glass, they are plastic. This means the clarity and durability suffer. The holder is also plastic and it is flimsy. It really felt like it was going to break as I attached it to my lens. The holder has no lock for the filters, it uses a flexible plastic piece to add tension to keep the filters in. This design concerns me based on the poor quality of the holder. The filters tightness in the holder varies because they are not all the same thickness. I posted a picture from the side but the difference is more obvious in person. You will also see the holder when shooting wide. My last photo shows this at 24mm. This adds up to the fact that this set is not for professionals. The price made me suspicious of this from the beginning. My motivation for trying these, beyond just curiosity, was a hope that these might work as square filters in my nice matte box. They don't. They are not square. All the pros for this set are for beginners. If you're looking to learn how non circular filters can elevate you images, this is what you need. Having graduated and solid in multiple shades, gives you the ability to test and play with your shots. For example, I have two similar photos posted. One is a stack of a solid ND and a graduated blue, which makes the sky pop. The other photo is minus the blue. Hands on learning like this with real glass would be an expensive endeavor.Summation - Professionals = No, Beginners = Yes

This is a great system for expanding your creativity in photography. The adapter rings makes it usable on virtually any lens. This is a very affordable way to experience the benefits of using lens filters in your photography.

For the value this is a great set of camera lens filters. The items come well packaged their own sleeve within a carrying case. The set comes with just about all the reduction rings you may need to fit most lenses. Lenses slide in and out of the lens holder easily. I use the filters with a Nikon 7200 camera and have had fun experimenting with different colors to create artistic effects in photos without having to use Photoshop. I also own more expensive filters and find these comparable in ease of use.
