My oem axle snapped at the beginning of the screw on part since it has a deep groove at that junction. This axle does not have that groove and has held up very nicely! No more squeaks!

So apparently you’re supposed to take the rear axle out every so often and grease it so it won’t seize up. Well I didn’t and local shop had to drill it out.Had to search up on the owners manual to figure out which would fit. Fortunately found this one with all the right measurements.(Length, thread length, thread pitch, spacing, etc.)

I’m building up a Niner RKT 9 RDO 2017 from the frame. On the niner website I could not find the exact spec for the rear wheel thru axle so I bought this based on some specs I found about the length and thread requirement for a 2016 Niner RKT 9 RDO. It fits perfectly !

Screw head is somewhat soft and surface can strip so easily. Make sure you at least have at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the hex driver (5mm not 6mm) inside before you turn/screw it in or out. Honestly, I'm quite worried and anxious about it's durability and long term use. It's very sleek, lighter as we all know compared to Maxle ultimate but I didn't expect for it to be so "delicate". If the aluminum material surrounding the hex hole was just made a little harder, this axle would be perfect.

Replaced OEM QR type rear axle with the Maxle because the original kept coming loose; this axle installed effortlessly and has not come loose once.

This is excellent - Fits a 2017 Nukeproof Mega 275 perfectly. This replaced my SRAM QR Maxel that I broke under no duress. The QR on my old maxel is/was "made of cheese". The Stealth was bought for several reasons: 1. There is no (made of cheese) QR handle to break. 2. installation is with a lovely 5mm Allen Key at 9-13Nm torque setting. 3. Is miles cheaper than the QR handle equivalent. It's a no brainer in swapping. Finally the Spec is: L = 174mm: TL = 20mm: TP = M12 x 1.75. If these specs are on your (made of cheese) QR Maxel, then you have the correct, direct replacement.
