  • Miniature k-type connector works with many Type K thermometers
  • 36" PVC spiral cable, 2" ABS plastic handle (keep at room temperature, plastic melts)
  • Temperature Range -58 to 752°F (-50 to 400°C) at the stainless tip

This is a small size and inexpensive insertion thermocouple with a K-Type sensor. The Type K sensor is housed at the tip of a 3 inch long stainless steel probe, which comes with a 2 inch long plastic handle. The plastic handle and plastic wire needs to be kept at room temperature or 200 F maximum, they will melt. The maximum rating is 752°F ( 400°C ) at the tip of the stainless steel part, with the handle at or near room temperature. It has a miniature Type K type connector that will work with many digital K-type thermometers. This probe can be inserted in liquids or any object you like to measure. It is much easier to clean than the thermocouple wire that comes with many Type K thermometers. The wire has a spiral cable, unfortunately Amazon often displays the item with a straight wire, they seem unable to change the picture.

I tested these thermocouples four seperate times using ice water (32 deg-f) as reference. Each time I used a Fluke 116 and a 4 channel TC tool (from Amazon) to test each TC. So far they have tested true with +/- 0.07 deg f.

Right on target. I use thermocouples daily at home and at work. Glad I bought two of them. The probe, connector and wiring are built for more than occasional use. Keep your connectors clean and the accuracy is right on compared to my laboratory glass thermometer

I have temperature sensors the fit inside the duct system to get my temperature difference I also had the pocket temperature thermometers but these thermocouples are exactly what I need that I can get a temperature difference they're accurate and portable enough that can fit inside my toolbox to use with my multimeter excellent Buy I recommend anyone in the HVAC to get a couple they're worth their weight in value

These have a stated temperature range up to 752 deg F. They may measure that but melt well below it.I purchased them to use with a dual meter to measure ambient oven temperature and internal meat temperature in my outdoor smoker and my kitchen oven. Both insulated handles melted away at temps that averaged 220 F and never exceeeded 300 F. Loss of the handles exposed the wires to possible shorting on the metal ovens and racks. On one probe, one wire connection separated.Clearly not suited for sustained measurements well below stated range.

Thermo couple probes work well for temp. rise calculation it would have been alot better if the probe leads length was at least 4' but it works for the price you pay..
