CALCULATE THE AMOUNT OF FIRE GLASS NEEDED FOR YOUR ROUND FIRE PIT

Calculator for Circular or Rounded Fire Pits or Fire Bowls
How much fire glass will you need? To calculate the amount of fire pit glass needed to fill a circular fire pit, use the following equation:

Diameter X Diameter X Depth, divided by 24 = pounds of fire glass needed. We recommend a minimum 2” of fire glass depth for most installations. For example, a 25" diameter fire pit at the recommended 2” of fire glass depth: 25 X 25 X 2, divided by 24 = 52 lbs.

CALCULATE THE AMOUNT OF FIRE GLASS NEEDED FOR YOUR RECTANGULAR FIRE PIT

Calculator for Square or Rectangle Fire Pit
How much fire glass will you need? To calculate the amount of fire pit glass needed to fill a square or rectangular fire pit, use the following equation:

Width X Length X Depth, divided by 19 = pounds of fire glass needed. We recommend a minimum 2” of fire glass depth for most installations. For example, a 48" X 14" fire pit at the recommended 2” of fire glass depth: 48 X 14 X 2, divided by 19 = 70 lbs.

Love the color and size but did notice that several broke when firepit was lit. We moved them under the whole ones so it's ok but which that didn't happen. They give off a beautiful glow and add ambience to the firepits.

Quality: these come in double-layer thick plastic bags, and among the seven bags we got, I think there were zero defects, broken pieces etc. A great sign these are high quality, and treated with respect by the makers.Accuracy & Beauty: spot on. These are chunky 1” squares, exactly as described. The color & size is consistent throughout the 7 bags we got. There’s a brilliant bit of rainbow sheen on each square, that sparkles in the flames. Gorgeous!Value: these aren’t the cheapest option for firepit glass, so I was expecting they’d be better quality for the higher price, and they are. I’m very happy about the value I got.

I ordered the square 1'' (2,5cm), perfect size for an outoor LPG fire pite, arrived fast, over the 3 bags, only one piece was broken so no issue on my point of view. About bad feed back about the risk to cut ourself, it's glass so, anyway, should just pay minimal attention.Lightened the fire pit 2 times for a couple of hours, no issue with glass that shatter/exploded or any problems that other report.I let the bottom of my fire pit filled with the original lava stone and just add a layer of those glass pieces on top of it, no issue with lightening the fire pit or gaz distribution. Final tought: go for it without hesitation, look amazing, no regrets at all.

The product looked great but after 3rd evening of use many of the glass pieces shattered and broke. Disappointing product.

So far, so good. Many reviews about broken glass when arrived, I had none. All glass intact. Looks wonderful. Have not used fire table for any length of time. Read reviews about glass cracking under heat, will keep everyone posted, but extremely happy so far.Update: Been using for a month now and no broken glass due to heat. Used about 5 times, glass all intact.Update: Been using for 6 months, winter arrived so using frequently. Some glass broke, but minimal. was expected, so still think these are a great deal. I ordered the blue. I've noticed that people who ordered the green ones seemed to have the most trouble. I took them out to clean and soaked in a bucket of vinegar and dish soap. Came out looking like new.Update: 2 years later. About 1/4 of the rocks have broken (i was expecting this, so I order more). Still feel these are a good deal.

Perfect for my fire table. When the table is lit, the reflective clear glass cubes actually look wet which is a very cool and unexpected effect. Be sure to order enough glass cubes to cover the necessary area. Very important: If it calls for 10 pounds, order 20 pounds. You won't be sorry.I previously used reflective clear "broken" glass in my fire table, but the small pieces were easily displaced and routinely fell through the ventilation holes at the bottom of the table. I constantly found broken glass pieces on the rug around the edge of the table. Go with the smooth glass cubes, they are larger and provide a higher quality visual effect.
