Sensor works just fine on my 2010 Subaru Forester. I couldn't get pliers in to remove the old sensor, so I just disconnected it and put the new one in with zip ties holding it in place in front of the old sensor. It works and if I ever have to remove the front end, I'll fix it properly then, but for now, all is well.

Old temperature sensor right 122° and was affecting my climate control. Put new sensor in immediately read the right temperature.

The sensor I received was different than the original, but it works.The Amazon file photo matches/looks like the OEM part, but what I received does not have the little protrusion on the end.Aside from that, the plug ends match and my temperature readout works again.

iMAGING MY HAPPINESS WHEN THE TEMPERATURE reading went from the never moving 72 to 85 and it moved! These shouldn't ever fail but they do. Hope this one lasts a long time. Why is the one for the Impreza $13 while this one is $33? Same insides. Just a simple thermistor.

It either works or it doesn't and this works. My 2004 Subaru Forester, recently purchased used, was routinely displaying 117 degrees outside in the dead of winter. I bought this, installed it and it is withing 1 degree of every other thermometer. It is annoying but not difficult to install, simply because of where it is located (think lying on your back in the driveway). And you will not find a YouTube video because it is impossible to get a camera up there while you are installing it. But read through the helpful advice on [...] and you can do it. It is much harder getting the old one out. Installing this new part takes no more than 10 minutes. I'm very happy with the outcome.
