This kit saved my tent!!! I check all the local outdoor stores and they all told me tough luck, tired to sell me a stupid sleeve to go around the split pole or told me to try and duct tape the split pole to repair it (not a long term solution). I was afraid my tent was dunzo untill I finally found this kit online and was able to repair and replace my busted tented pole.

Longer than previous poles they were listed to replace. Says you can cut them down. I just used as is and it actually took up slack and made the tent taut. Wire to thread line was flimsy and broke first try, but poles and new line were solid and good deal.

Easy enough for even a beginner DIY person. Extended the life of an otherwise dead tent.

The Stansport Camping Tent Kits (11mm) was a perfect repair for my Coleman Sundome 6-Person Dome Tent that had a broken pole. The package came with all the accessories needed to replace the broken section. It was easy to use a hacksaw to cut the pole to length and use the included installation wire to string the shock cord. I reused the existing shock cord so I didn't have to replace the entire length. The pole itself was of good quality.

This review is for the Stansport Camping Tent Kits (11mm). Everything came as pictured and described. This is not a replacement tent pole and doesn't state it is. The kit has parts to help you repair your tent pole.Measure your diameter.Measure your required pole lengths to make sure these are long enough.Know what parts are included.Look up how to fix a tent pole.My repair took minor effort and tools. I had to cut my two fiberglass poles to the correct length. I used an angle grinder with a thin cutting wheel. A Dremel with a cutting wheel will also work. Sand the ends you just cut with fine sandpaper or fine file. Do not think you can use a big tooth wood saw. No, probably not that other saw you are thinking of either. They will split apart the fiberglass end and it will fray and the pole will split apart prematurely.The kit and some effort saved a big six-person tent from the garbage. I only used two poles and one new ferrule so far. One pole's inner hole/channel was off-center. At the sale price it was well worth it.

I ordered 3 packages. 1 of the packages had missing parts. The other package had mis-drilled tent poles. The inside was not drilled large enough to put the shock cord through. Amazon is sending replacements.

I had just one section of the tent pole broken. So instead of replacing both poles this solution was just what I needed. It took just a few minutes to replace the broken section and it worked perfectly. Plus I have three more pieces I can keep with the tent, in case another section breaks, even if out camping.

A couple of sections from our tent poles snapped during a recent trip where we encountered very strong gusting winds that ripped a section of the pole pocket of our tent. My wife conducted surgery on the tent while I was tasked with looking for a solution to the snapped pole sections. Initially I had thought I would need to buy a whole new pole system until I came across this kit. This did the job perfectly and we were up and running once again.

They dont make my length of pole i needed. These are 11mm and i had to cut off several inches. I used the cutting wheel for metal on my dremel. Went around in a circle, turning the rod, (USE EYE AND FACE *BREATHING MASK PROTECTION, it is fiberglass, and in a well ventilated area) it took no time. Smoothed the edges so they dont fray. The metal ends that come with it do not like to stay on. I even tapped them with a hammer on a hard surface on the end and it wont stay. The shock cord is not long enought to do ONE set of poles. Buy some. It might repair a small set and definitely is long enough for the 4 poles in the set, but the 11mm poles are my main long support poles and it would not fix even one set. Good quality poles. Time will tell on longivity. The hole in the middle of new rods was bigger, which means less fiberglass and less longivity potentially. I only needed to replace 4. I mixed them more in the middle of the rods. I did not put the on the end where more stress is. But if i need more in the future this diameter, i will buy these.All in all ot does the job. Had all of the parts needed except enough shock cord.Great buy.
