I’ve been using the Starbucks by Nespresso Original Line Blonde Roast for a few weeks now, and I’m really enjoying it. The coffee is smooth, well-balanced, and has a mild, slightly sweet flavor that’s perfect for my morning cup. It’s not too strong or bitter, making it a great choice if you prefer a lighter roast. The convenience of Nespresso pods means I can quickly brew a cup without any mess, which I love.

Update: I love the coffee and this is by far the cheapest place to get them. I am changing my rating from 2 stars for poor shipping to 5 stars for the actual pods. I contemplated how to force Amazon to ship it better and came up with a plan - buy more than will fit in a mailer to make them use a box and make sure you don't order anything heavy that they can put in the box with them. To be safe, I didn't order anything else that week to make sure my pods came alone. It worked! For the first time in 3 shipments we did not have a single crushed pod and now we have enough pods to last a few months. We ordered 3 of the 50 packs (total of 150 pods) and that was perfect. Dates were all good and none expire in less than 10 months.Update: we gave them a second chance and another set of pods came crushed (even worse than the first ones). I don’t understand why they can’t figure out how to put these in sleeves that don’t crush or ship them in a hard side package. We will no longer be buying them from Amazon because I’m tired of throwing away pods. The last pic with the completely crushed pod in the center was our newest batch. That one will have to be thrown away and some of the other ones are questionable as to whether they will work. Takes away from the cost-effectiveness of buying them through Amazon if you have to throw away almost a whole sleeve. very disappointed.This is our third or fourth order of these pods and we’ve had a few that were slightly damaged but usable. This is the first sleeve out of this new box and seven out of 10 pods are essentially unusable. If you’re not familiar with an nespresso machine - the pods have a rubber seal that goes around the edge to make a seal and then water is forced through the pod and if the rims cannot connect with that seal you lose a lot of the coffee into the collection chamber in the bottom instead of going into your cup. They essentially don’t work when they look like this. There’s a no refund and no return policy so I will be contacting Amazon independently to see what they will do about this because it’s completely unacceptable.

Update:I’ve been ordering these pods for over a year. They still have smashed pods in ever batch regardless who it’s sold and shipped by so it definitely has to be the manufacturer. But why I’m updating my review to 1 star is because lately I’ve been getting batches that expire within a week of when they’re delivered. Although they’re “best buy” dates, the closer you get to those dates, this coffee gets a weird bitter taste and the after taste makes me gag.Worst of all, todays batch came expired. I ordered 5 boxes and all 5 are expired. Yes, there’s manufacturers and Best Buy dates on the box. These expired last year. In January. Came to warn you guys because these are non-returnable/non-refundable items!!Original review:To me, of course nothing will compare to actually going to Starbucks and having your coffee made by one of their baristas; it's just not the same as making it at home, especially with a pod-type coffee compared to espresso brewed the traditional way. Because of this, I would give this product 5 stars but I've bought probably about 10 of these 50-count pods and every single batch has a couple pods that are not usable. They somehow get smashed even though the box that the pods come in don't seem damaged and the shipping box is not damaged either. So although it is cheaper per shot than going to Starbucks to buy my coffee, it's still a bit upsetting that it seems to be a guarantee to get a couple smashed pods in every order.As for the taste, it's quite comparable but I do believe the flavor is not as strong. I drink coffee basically to avoid caffeine headaches and help me power through the days since I get very minimal sleep. I love the flavor of Starbucks' Blonde Espresso, and this taste very close to the real thing. For some reason I also feel like the caffeine is not as strong in these home brewed pods. But because with a newborn and a 2-year old, if I don't have to leave the house, it's much more convenient to just brew my own coffee at home when I need one so I will continue to purchase these pods.
