Pump was mounted on pressed wood sheet with carrige bolts heads on bottom and nuts and lockwashers on the top of pump base bracket.The bracket has no clearance for inserting a box wrench on the nut between it and the pump motor.When using an open end wrench there is not enough swing to reposition the wrench on the next nut flat. Using a vise grip to loosen the nut causes the carrige bolt to rotate in the pressed wood enlarging the hole and causing the bolt-nut assembly to remain tight.I had to resort to use a hole saw to remove the pressed wood to unbolt the pump.I recommend you use hexhead bolts.Also the inlet port in the pump was threaded at an angle to the pump centerline which caused the PVC fitting to become crossthreaded.

Primed and started quickly. Just needed a little tweaking of the pressure switch to keep it from cycling on and off too frequently when the sprinklers were running.

Very nice pump mi last one lasted 12 year’s it was a 3/4 hp there wade nothing wrong with the motor the pump itself wore out . I have Spence bought a rebuild kit for the pump for a backup.Great quality pumps.

Pump is great! Replaced a Sta-Rite that had been used for twelve years. Faster than expected shipping (ordered Wednesday was told it would be delivered Monday received on Friday). Have 6 zones of irrigation with up to 12 heads per zone, this pump pushes them all and is relatively quiet. Definitely reccomend.

Outstanding pump. I used this one to replace one just like it that was still working after 18 years! Why did I replace it if it still worked? Because it had become noisy and rusty. The check valve needed to be replaced and we decided to go ahead and replace the pump at the same time. After all, 18 years is a long time and we did not want to replace the value and then have to replace the pump in the coming years too; so we did it all at once. The pump is very quiet and powerful. It pops up the heads two or three times faster and we had some heads pop up that we did not even know we had; plus they water goes a little further. The old pump was just getting weaker and louder so we are happy we upgraded to a new one. Thanks to the seller for getting this one out so quickly.

First one I bought I blew the capacitor with incorrect voltage. I am keeping that as a spare. The extra 1/2 horsepower means a lot when you are trying to run 5-6 rainbird rotors from a shallow well. Just shut it down before any freeze comes. We were running city water at a rate of over a thousand dollars for the season. Didn't even notice this on my electric bill.
