After removing the broken parts, I placed the new parts on the existing cable consequently not requiring going any further! It was about a 15 minute swap out or less, and it works perfectly

Worked as it should and resolved my cruise control issues. I used the buttons but used the existing wiring harness that was already in the steering wheel as that would have been a pain to chain out. The wiring harness is usually not the problem anyway, it’s the buttons.

I replaced my broken buttons with a pair from a junkyard but they never actually worked. These worked perfect. I haven't had cruise control in years. 😬I'm worried about the material wearing over time. The text appears to be printed or silk screened on, so we'll see with time and I will update my review to reflect that if anything changes.

Process was simple and whole swap took only a few minutes.For a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac1. Disconnect battery for at least 10 minutes2. Pop off tabs for airbag cover and remove airbag (12mm)3. Unscrew the 2 screws per side holding the buttons to steering wheel4. I unplugged the original wiring and reused it with the new plugs which made the process very easy and quickGreat update to fix ugly cracked controls
