Great for wood. Most hot glue doesn’t hold but this does very well.

Couple millimeters bigger than they should be they do take high heat to melt, but they are not strong and they are overpriced and they have odor when you let the heat gun heat up all the way before using they will smokeAlso, they got jammed when I let it sit for too long

What I like is the performance of the adhesive on a plastic to plastic bond. I used it to repair a Halloween animatronic that I've had since 2008. It's the first adhesive that has worked effectively on it. This same adhesive was not available locally. What I didn't like was the delivery. It was purchased on November 1st and indicated next day delivery. There's no minimum charge for this next day delivery. It only arrived today, and I really needed it yesterday as promised. The glue sticks are a little pricey, but considering the value of the animatronic, it was well worth it.

I was attempting to put together a foam costume and absolutely nothing would stick to the high density foam! I was at my wits end!!After doing some research I found this glue and thought "What the heck?!" the only other alternative was starting from scratch with a different medium... THIS STUFF WORKS!I was so glad to have finally found a product that works! It's not only hot but very sticky! One warning: It dries a lot faster than regular high-temp hot glue. So you have a shorter window to glue down your item. Once it's stuck it's stuck good!

This is the best glue stick material I've ever used for achieving strong bonds. I find it easy to produce the amount of hot glue I want to apply. I consider the cooling time to hardening to be about medium, which is what I prefer - long enough to give me time to spread or shape the glue but not too long. I get minimal dripping from my gun when I have it heating on standby. I've now consider this my "go to" hot melt glue and I've purchased my second batch of sticks. My only caution to other buyers is to take careful note the shipping time - I waited months for my second batch to be delivered to me.

I have used these glue sticks in a Surebonder PRO8000A (a beastly 180-watt glue gun) to bond sheets of corrugated polypropylene (Coroplast) to EVA foam and polypropylene to itself. The adhesion between the glue and the polypropylene sheets is so strong that the plastic stretches before the glue detaches. Likewise, the EVA foam tears before the glue fails. I have also used this glue on wood, glass, and metal, and it outperforms the typical all-purpose glue sticks in every case. This glue needs to reach very high temperatures (380 degrees F) for proper tack, so you will need an appropriate glue gun. Also, if your work has a large thermal mass, you may need to preheat it with a heat gun so it doesn't cool the glue down toon much before it has time to set.Furthermore, for some plastics, you may need to use sandpaper or heat and solvent to prepare the surface for bonding. As others have noted, this glue is just rebranded tecbond 260, so if you can find that product cheaper elsewhere (like ebay), go for it.When applied properly, this glue bonds low-surface-energy plastics better than most plastic-weld epoxies, and it's so much easier and quicker - so it's highly recommended in my book.

I've, been trying to find an alternative glue stick on amazon comparable to the glue sticks from flitetest.com, since I got a few gift cards for amazon. These sticks are a buck more, so I thought maybe they would be a better quality. They aren't. These foam like crazy if you extrude the glue to fast, and because of that you need to go really slow, but then that leaves you very little time to adhere your project. The sticks say they are the "Clear" general purpose stick, but they are really cloudy, and from what I have read, that means there are defects in the product. It was worth trying but I wouldn't be using this glue again.

Yeah these things are pricey for glue sticks, but I'd say they're easily an order of magnitude more adhesive than that white stuff. Also, you get a lot. It was Amazon's helpful reminder that I'd purchased this exact item just over a year ago which prompted me to write a review. So a fifteen-count of foot-long sticks is a years worth of gluing anything within reach of an AC outlet, and friend, that is a LOT of things. I am continually amazed at the materials this tenacious goo is able to bond nigh-instantaneously. In fact, it's my go-to solution for things that can't be welded.A slight caveat, it doesn't dry clear by any means. The color of the stick in the product image is, logically enough, about the color of the cooled glue. If that worries you, then by all means go purchase an inferior stick-based adhesive.
