Having an antique ceramic real deal fondue pot makes it a challenge to find the right fuel that does NOT flare and stink up the house. This one is always reliable and last a sold amount of time. Perfect for the non sterno gel types :)

We had the worst luck with this... We could not keep the fires burning. It took much effort to get the fire started, once we did, they burned REALLY hot for a few moments and then burned immediately out. We tried multiple times, with multiple levels of fuel in the cups, and adjusting air flow - each time with the same result. We eventually gave up. We had 2 different fondue pots and 6 mini grill pots... all were of same poor result. The only reason Im giving 3 stars, instead of none/one, is because Im really hoping this was user error, more than just a worthless product - so many other people rated this really well. It would work well as a fire starter for a fireplace/bonfire... But sadly, not for fondue.
