Bone is traditionally favored for quality instruments. Our unbleached bone is even harder than bleached white bone, and has a mottled cream vintage look. Its hardness and density contributes to good tone, it polishes well, and it allows more precise filing.
Shaped saddles will save you a LOT of work—a head start for the novice, and a timesaver for the busy shop. The sizes have been carefully researched, and accurately radiused, so that minor trimming, slotting, and sanding are usually all you'll need to do.

Did not fit my Martin guitar, not even close.

This pre cut saddle is too small. It wiggles in the slot, and is not high enough to get a reasonable string height. I tried installing it on my Martin D-35. Never even took a piece of sandpaper to it.
