Worked like a charm. Connected output to my garden hose. Emptied my hot tub in 2 hours!

Manual said it will start drawing down at water depth of 2/5ths of an inch. Could not get the pump to actually start pumping out water until it was in at least a solid 3/4” which was extremely disappointing given it was purchased specifically for shallow water draining in my basement due to water penetration. Even when I got it pumping it would lose its prime in water less than 1/4” when it says it’ll pump down to 1/25”. This pump does not perform to the specs it comes with in the manual.

I finally got to use this as I originally intended - to get the last puddles of water out of my hot tub. This worked super great. In fact, I decided to toss it in before the hot tub drain had really gotten going. So, I had a few feet of water to go. This pumped out the water so fast, I was done draining about 550 gallons in under 20 minutes. It took the water down to just under an inch left.I would highly recommend this for draining pools/hot tubs. But, I would also recommend it for flooded basements or other areas that are prone to flooding. The pump has a float that allows it to automatically shut off/turn on depending on the depth of water (4/5" or 5", respectively). So, if you have a basement or somewhere that is prone to flooding, you can leave this plugged in and it will automatically run when needed - sort of like a sump pump. Don't replace your sump pump with this, but it could function similarly if necessary. The included 25 ft hose is easy to install and is long enough for my purposes - getting the water away from the house. If you need to move the water farther, you can just as easily connect a garden hose that is much longer.Overall: Great product. Easy to assemble. Easy to use.

Drained my hot tub. Motor was quiet, powerful and drained quickly. Like the feature of optional float valve switch. Pump weight was good, heavy enough to sink and stay put, but easy to maneuver. I used garden hose instead of proved flex hose as I needed less volume of water.

I ordered the product just over 30 days ago in anticipation of draining my hot tub soon. I finally got to draining my hot tub, opened the box, and the entire housing was cracked. The boxes were in great shape, but the device is useless.UPDATE: The Company offered to replace it or refund my money. I chose to replace it. They shipped it the same day. Tried out the replacement tonight and it works awesome! Thanks for the outstanding service!!!

I ordered this sump pump thinking I could use it in my crawl space that floods every Spring or after any heavy rain. Well, crawl spaces are not solid surfaces, just dirt, so this pump won't work. However, I did try it on the public sidewalk down by the street curb that also floods after a heavy rain due to a low spot.At first this pump worked pretty good. The flat discharge hose that came with it was a royal pain due to the heavy folds the were the result of packing technique used. It would have been better to roll it up to prevent the kinking. It was kinked about every foot or so and the 5 inch tip would not unkink until a fast water discharge reached it...which was also a pain. Due to the fore mentioned kinks I had to go down the entire length of the flat hose, every 8 inches, squeezing to to let the water flow another 8 inches before I got to the end and the water pressure kept the end of the hose open...for awhile. After about twenty minutes of awesome water discharge pressure the motor just stopped. It does that apparently when the motor gets hot. After about 20-30 minutes it starts back up and runs another 10 minutes until it gets hot again. Well, I gave up after about an hour and a half of messing with it.It works good when it works but for close to $100 it was not something I would call a good deal.
