I just received this mount today and it fits my V1 Gen 2 perfectly. The suction cup is solid and mount is study enough not to move around with the motion of the vehicle. I stuck it directly to a cool windshield on a 45 F day with no problems. I have two cars and two motorcycles and move my detector from whichever I am using than day. It's easy to remove the V1 from this mount. I just received this mount today, so I can't comment on the longevity. I will probably order one for my other car too and replace the weak suction cup mount that came with my V1. For the price, this is 10x better than purchasing a factory type clip suction cup mount. I wish I would have purchased this years ago. It would have saved me from the frustration of the factory mount not sticking and my radar detector crashing onto the dash...especially when it's cold outside.

I needed this for a road trip and didn't have time to return or replace. It lasted the trip but due to a manufacturing error there is a nut that was not installed and because of how it's manufactured it cannot be reinstalled.

This product is very well thought out and manufactured very well. The suction cup is large enough to hold the radar detector, and small enough to not block views out of the windshield.So far I’m glad with the purchase.

Good mount for my valentine one gen 2. It would work just as well with gen 1. This is what should have come from the factory. I typically use a blend mount or a steely magnet mount directly affixed to my windshield but I wanted some portability. It was easy to install and while it looks quite big it fold quite well onto itself so it isn’t particularly visible. I’d buy it again.

This mount has great suction power and holds the radar detector in a secure position. You can move it to several angles if needed. I ordered it to replace the cheesy mount that came with the Valentine Radar detector. I even called the company to let them know the mount that comes with the $500 Radar detector needs improvement.

This thing has more moving parts than am NFL linebacker knee brace! No really, works great, figure out you detector angle, tighten thumb screws, all good.
