My wife has a dual showerhead setup in her shower. It's a luxury that, quite frankly, I envy. However, there are (lots of times) that she wishes she could turn the second shower head completely off, so she can avoid getting her hair wet, for example.I've tried different showerheads that are supposed to turn completely off, but didn't, as well as other shutoff valves that would reduce the flow to a drip, but... wouldn't stop it completely.I just recently ordered, received and installed a second of these valves in her shower, so now she has complete control of the flow of her shower heads. She can use one, the other or both, without worrying about a showerhead dripping when she doesn't want it to.I am greatly pleased with this product and recommend it highly.

This valve is an effective and inexpensive way to adjust water flow on showers with no flow control. Easy and quick installation. An effective water saver. Adjustable from complete shut off to full flow. A surdy metal polished chrome construction that will not break.

This was simple to install, it’s simple to use and stopped the leak I had 100% completely. No need to call a plumber to come out and tear a hole in the wall to install a new valve in my shower. Saved myself a few hundred bucks and took all of five minutes to set up. I had read other reviews that brought up a lesser water flow possibility. if you look into the throat of this valve you will see a cross-shaped plastic doohickey and I can see how that could impede the flow of water through the shower head. So, I took a pair of needle-nosed pliers and simply broke out that plastic piece before I screwed this valve into place. Voila - no impeded water flow.

Most of all of the various shower valves drip — big time. No, not drip, run slowly. Dribble. Not this valve. Not a drop drips. Nada. I has a nice, smooth, bright finish, and a basic industrial design.I installed this on a shower hose for a hand-held shower in addition to the fixed shower head. The fixed shower head leaks when I use the typical twist knob. As I use the hand-held shower less, I didn't want it to drip at all. This Sumnacon valve does the job. It cuts water flow to 0% and can be used to coarsely adjust flow of you felt the need.A couple of FYIs:Installations are not all the same. While the threads match up, different fixtures have different depths and often require fine tuning. Teflon tape may or may not be enough to stop leaks. You may have to add washers. Pipe joint compound may be required. (I use it for behind-the-wall stuff.) Some threads will almost always show, sometimes you get a good match and they don't. This applies to any addition to the plumbing. This will reduce water volume and possibly pressure. The arm going into the wall has an ID of approximately .66". Depending on your area, that's a high Gallons Per Minute. Anything between it and your body lowers that GPM. The maximum flow out of a shower head is supposed to be 2GPM. Any valve you add has a passage of about .25" or less, reducing volume. The Sumnacon valve has two small holes that are covered by sliding baffles when the knob is operated. I'd estimate them to be less than .25" in total area. That's a rough estimate. If your shower head is more restrictive, then this valve will have no negative affect when fully open.It would be very helpful if manufacturers indicated the maximum GPM for all fixtures or devices attached to an arm or bib, just as most do for shower heads.

This is a nice, solid, heavy unit that works as advertised. Mine will cut water flow off completely, or let it flow at pretty much full blast, or anything in between if you aren't ham-handed with the adjusting lever. One note: Although one reviewer reported installing it with just his fingers and without plumber's tape -- that didn't work for me. When I tried that it dribbled around the female end threads. I recommend plenty of Teflon tape and a wrench. That sealed it up solidly at both ends, even with the flow turned completely off. If you're tall like me, you'll notice that this lowers your shower head by about an inch, so be prepared to duck your head just a bit lower when washing your hair.

This valve works great as a water saving shut off/flow control valve for my shower head. I have it on the hand held portion of my detachable Waterpik shower head, and it's nice to be able to shut it off to conserve water, as well as give my dog a bath without it spraying all over the place in between wetting and rinsing.FYI: This is the exact same product that is being sold by other sellers on here that have the same pictured item. I ordered 2 from different sellers to see if they were any different from one another. I ordered this one, and also the . As expected, they were indistinguishable from each other, other than the packaging them came in. I suspect there is one manufacturer/supplier for several different companies. There is no branding on the actual product itself.
