As a cheap capture device, I suppose it works as you would expect. However, the item listing and packaging specifically list this device as being able to output 1080p60 over USB, and that the USB connection is at USB3.0 speed. Neither of these are true; it's 1030p30 and USB2.0 only. If you need 60fps, this ain't it Chief.

The capture card works well. It does exactly what it says. I use OBS because that is what I'm familiar with, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work with other programs. I am not a game streamer, so I can't comment on the function of that. However, I use it to capture my own recordings of shows/movies from my other computer that has Windows Media Center since those recordings are locked to the original computer in which they were recorded. This works well for that. As others have noted, be aware that it can take 4k inputs but outputs them at a 1080 max.I particulary like the cord. It replaced a different capture card where the whole unit needed to be plugged in directly into the USB port, which blocked other ports, and due to the size of it, presented a hazard where I was worried something would break the capture card or damage the USB port. With this form function with the cord and the simple USB, there isn't any concern about damage and it takes up less space. I'm very happy with this capture card overall!

I ordered this to display the console game or mac mini on my iPad.It works well and displays FHD and 4k. If you're using 4K, the characters are too small.It also supports changing the display resolution.It's really nice product. If you find same purpose, I recommend this HDMI capture adapter.

This capture card is basic in its functionality other than it down-converts 4K down to 1080P. It's great for unencrypted content and sources such as ipad and older equipment. It needs to be noted you can't capture encrypted content (Blu-ray, Streaming services, Roku, appletv) as those devices require hdcp encryption in the device.

I was looking for a way to extend my desktop space without having to purchase a whole new monitor, and this worked great. I hooked it up to my iPad and used it as a second monitor. It worked well with my screen mirroring software, and I didn't even have to install any additional drivers, which was a nice surprise. I did notice it capped the resolution at 1080p, but honestly, that's not a big deal for my use case.
