I purchased this for my 2023 Yamaha Rmax4 1000 XTR after long and thorough research. It has now been three months since I installed this and I've put 450 miles on it as well. Bottom line is that this is a fantastic windshield for the price. I love the three different positions: closed, vented and fully open. Some hot days, running the windshield fully open is amazing. On other days, vented is amazing. If you get cold or it's too dusty....close it completely. As to the scratch resistance: I have run this on north-eastern Pa. woodland trails for several months and I can not even find a scratch on it. If you have ever hit trails in this area, you understand that branches are everywhere and unavoidable. The windshield takes a beating with flying colors. I was really worried about the windshield getting destroyed by scratches when I first bought this but it has performed amazingly well.As to the installation: I am a light to moderate DIYer. I had no ATV experience prior to buying this. It took me about two 6hr days to do the install. That was with a lot of breaks and amateur bumbling around. Overall, I installed it completely alone. Didn't need anyone to hold it, lift it, etc. I am not going to lie and say it was easy but it was not difficult either.I have found very little to complain about regarding this windshield. That being said, there are a few and in the interest of being thorough, here they are: I am a decently big guy, I usually wear boots when I ride. In boots I stand around 6'1- 6'2". When sitting in the driver's seat with the windshield fully open, my vision is slightly obstructed by it (resting in the fully open position). It was not a hazard, just a matter of comfort. I mitigated this by drilling new holes where the pistons attach. It raised the windshield a few inches and solved my issue. A taller person may have some real issues with this.My second complaint is also very minor: I feel like there needs to be another grab handle on the windshield, maybe in the middle (along the bottom). From a seated position I can reach across and adjust the windshield without exiting the vehicle , barely. A shorter person would have to exit the vehicle every time that want to adjust it (if alone).In summary: great product and a decent price. It is also very scratch resistant and performs well. Can't go wrong buying this.

Packaged well, clear, well made, and everything I was hoping for. It took a bit longer to install than I had anticipated and the seals are difficult to install when cold. I'll see how it holds up, but so far it's looking good.

I bought this windshield (expensive) and after much frustration got it installed. Function is fine, fit is good, but a week later I attempted to install the Yamaha Lightbar and it would not work with this windshield. This item was difficult to install for me. The windshield will interfere with the lightbar mounts, so buyer beware. Once you remove the plastic wrap from the windshield, the seller will not take it back!

Great item and install was not too bad. It did take much longer than I expected, but that is what I get for buying something that is not just one piece so I cannot complain too much. Works great once installed. That being said, if installing on a 2023 YAMAHA WOLVERINE RMAX4 1000 XT-R, some things won't fit as well as may have with previous models. The brackets that attach to the lower windshield do not have long enough bolts for what the windshield wants. Also, had difficulty getting the roof to want to come back all the way down with the gasket pushing on it and one of my metal taps pulled out of the roof when screwing in because it was just too much.

Well like other reviewers have stated- it’s a big job to install. I really laughed reading the reviews.I can build a house with my two hands, this should be cake….. uggg I would have paid someone midway thru $500 to finish it.It’s on. It’s high quality and made to last forever.I’m glad I don’t have to do it again but very pleased with how it looks and works!

When the item arrived the box had a large hole in it. No packing slip, no instructions to install. Without a packing slip I didn't know the model # that was shipped to me. Did not know if the order was complete with all of the parts. I assumed that it was the correct part. I began to install the windshield and I spent a lot of time and effort before it became clear that it would not fit correctly. Buy this time I had removed the protective film on the lexan parts. This makes the windshield unreturnable. The fit was ok except for the bottom piece that I had to trim about 1" or so off of the lexan to get it to fit on to the hood. It was clear that I was sent the wrong windshield. The only good thing about this is it was made of high quality parts. I suggest a buyer should make sure that they got the correct part and DO NOT remove the protective flim until you are sure the windshield will fit your UTV.
