This slatwall shelf set comes with 2 shelves. The first one I grabbed out of the box has a bend in an area where the slatwall bracket meets the back of the shelf. It's hard to say, but my guess is whomever welded the bracket onto the shelf had to have seen the kink in the back of the shelf. It look sas if they adjusted the vertical height of the slat bracket relative to the shelf to accommodate for the kink. Either that or the welder bent the shelf to adjust for a crooked weld. The bottom line is the shelf is kinked but the bracket is not, so they could not have happened at the same time.Despite this bend, the bracket still locks into the slat groove, but that slight bend to the shelf is obvious even when you aren't looking for the error. More so as you get further away from the bend, as the error just increases with distance. Aside from that, the shelf is sturdy and seems like it will hold up fine with a modest amount of weight on it.Ultimately, it is almost without question that the kink should have been observed by the welder, and the item should have not passed QC inspection. Hence, the 3-stars. Thank you for reading my review.

These shelfs are strong enough to handle anything I put on them. I had 3 gallons of paint and there was no sag at all. I believe the slatwall will fail before these shelves do. And of course like all slat wall products, the installation could not be easier. Tip it, slid the bracket into the slot and you're done. You can fasten it with a screw if you want but I honestly don't think it's necessary so I did not. I'm using them in my basement, but these so nice looking that they could be used in a bedroom or even a living room.
